The atmosphere was nice, but the service and food were definitely subpar. Our waitress, Mya, seemed either extremely busy or just moving at a slow pace. It took nearly 30 minutes for her to even take my order, and about the same if not longer to bring my receipt because she said she had to wait for the manager to finish with another table. The whole dining experience dragged on way too long for what it was. The food wasn’t anything to rave about either, especially considering the wait. Overall, not impressed

Great seafood and drinks! Seasoning was not too salty or oily. It was just right. Rum punch was strong, but good. I’ll be back!

I recently ordered takeout from Boil Bay in Virginia Beach and it was disappointed. I ordered the crab leg combo with mild seasoning, but it was bland and lacked any flavor. Service horrible.

First time here from Winston Salem NC was recommended to our family we really enjoyed it , the service amazing the food amazing overall 100% rated place to come when I come to VA again really enjoyed it thank yall 👍🏾

The food was honestly just okay....the sauce for the boil was the best(garlic butter spicy)...the cajun fries were bland....most of the food lack flavor. I would never go there again ....it seem really low buget...they give you 2 potatoes and 1 corn ...and a 1/2 or 1lb of whatever meat of choice...it was simply just okay. The restaurant setup was decent.

Came tonight from 2 hours and was denied service asked to speak to the manager and they closed the door... need new management asap

Great food ( soft shell poboy), but prices are high. Staff is great and friendly.

Only downside is everything is too salty

We had reservations... place was basically emptybut they wouldnt seat the first 5 gues. .Waitress started off rude... and acting confused. She added 3 other peoples drinks on my tab, didnt see it until i got home. Several of our guest were noticing her attitude. I went up to the front desk to ask a question and was told to settke any discrepencies at my table. Lets just say GO TO THE 1 ON HOLLAND ROAD.... Much more class!

I recently had a disappointing experience at Boil Bay that I feel compelled to share. I ordered a fried shrimp six-piece, chicken wings, and half a pound of shrimp, and the quality and portion sizes were far below expectations. The fried shrimp were not only poorly proportioned but also lacked the freshness and flavor I was hoping for. The chicken wings were mediocre at best, and the shrimp felt like an afterthought rather than the highlight of the meal.

If you’re looking for a satisfying seafood experience, do yourself a favor and head over to Twisted Crab on Monticello instead. They consistently deliver fresh, high-quality food that never disappoints. These good reviews are FALSE. Save your time and money!

I'm so Shocked at the service @the Norfolk location! The server we had was Very Passive aggressive and Refused to take Any Accountability for her lack if professionalism. Very defensive and dismissive! She messed up several of our food orders. Food was missing or totally the wrong order. Not sure how since she wrote everything down. Definitely Not the right vibe!

Tried to order online but it went to insta cart, the food was extremely expensive but the trouble is the order wasn't correct, they offered to fix it but that meant driving there. There's a reason I didn't drive there in the first place, I personally will never order or go to their restaurant ever.
