Let me start by saying, I love boil bay. This was my graduation dinner from my wife. We had an 8 person group and the staff sat us as a table for 12, so this is perfect for large parties. Our server was great. Bubbly and playful personality which made ordering feel pressure free and unrushed. This was a Thursday so the drink special was a Kentucky apple martini, had to have one! It was strong enough to taste the alcohol but not make it over powering. My wife commented it tasted like cheaper liquor but for $6 I couldn't complain. I created my own bag with 1pound of shrimp, 1pound of green mussels and all potatoes. I got the spiciest heat level with garlic butter flavoring. I also added a side of rice which I like to dump into my boil sauce! What I can say is this place can get pricey pretty quick. We ended up spending about $90 for my wife and I. I would also like to note, for parties 6 or more there is an automatic 18% gratuity which equated to about $15 of our tab. I'm still in search of great seafood but boil bays consistency is keeping my content while I'm in the Norfolk Area!

Boil Bay City was everything I expected. The vibe was good. The food was excellent and CHRIS!!! Accommodate us all the way to the next. We appreciated the service, his patience, his good energy, and most of all we were stuffed!

Great big space for groups, service is great, food always hot, hopefully soon they start the karaoke nights. I recommend oyster basket, soft shell crab po boy, black mussels, calamari, gumbo, and seafood fried rice. Also great drink specials on Wednesdays.

I wish I could not give one star. Smh food was not good, cleaned, or cooked properly. Then on top of it the manager on site didn't have no customer service skills at all. I was charged for food I didn't have and it was annoying going back and forth with the manager. Never again will I visit there smh it ruined my whole night literally. That's what I get for not going to the Twisted Crab.

Updated:This location has now gone to Hell so go to the beach one or just take to go. I normally don’t want to bash but I have gone quarterly over the years with different people and each year it gets worse. I managed a restaurant for years before so I understand the business and I am a big tipper too. I’m greeted immediately and sat. The servers are socializing with each other and not paying attention. I can’t get a server for 10 minutes or more after being sat, the drinks come out almost when the bags come out and then flagging for a refill that I almost want to bring my own drink, no crab crackers or shuckers majority of the time, and the people that deliver your food tells you to ask your server instead of telling them what I might need.The atmosphere is reckless. Ppl in there smoking weed on my last visit. Kids running around everywhere, falling, yelling, and bumping customers like they’re outside. Management tells them to stop but never to leave. Extremely large parties seem to be friends with the staff. Thus no matter how nice you are, your service will suck. Bathroom smells like sewage. I also noticed that the positions held there are not diverse.So much potential but so much ignorance.

Came here for my great nephews Birthday. Everyone one said there boil bags were good. My dad said the clam chowder was the best he has ever eaten. I had the shrimp po boy and it was really good. Forgot to take pics. Our server Jasmine was very professional and friendly. Great service!

We went at 1pm on a Friday. We had a reservation for 15ppl. Half of your party has to be present to b seated. A few of us arrived so waited at the bar. The bar service was slow both at the table and bar. We received food and were still waiting on drinks. I believe the bartender was new. They also didn't have items to make basic cocktails. For example, a rum runner. The food was fast and delicious. I'd return. Loved the music and the atmosphere.

I’ve been here so many times and the more I came the worst the food gets and I’m actually at my last straw. I got a combo like I always get and it already looked skimp and dry to begin with. When I opened it I noticed that there was barely any of the sauce. I asked for more sauce and showed the staff and the manager how there was little to nun In the bag they would not give me any sauce because the sauce is “complementary”. Any other seafood broil place I have been to in any state always offer sauce as part of the bag being as that’s what makes it the broil. Then the staff and manager continued to catch an attitude with me. Never coming back the food is overpriced, overcooked, and tasteless, plus they got my order wrong
