These people kicked me out after sitting down for 2 plus hours because i didn’t buy anything, i’ve been coming here for about a year now and not buying something had never been an issue the owner was very rude!! RACIST for sure because it was plenty of caucasian customers sitting down with NOTHING on their tables. Had 2 other employees tell me to leave as i was packing my things up.

I ordered a macchiato today. The man (I think it was the owner) that made the order was extremely rude and expressed unwarranted bad behavior. I went to enjoy nice coffee with my friends instead experienced poor attitude and worst customer service and ruined the experience. I will not be returning and spend my hard earned money at this location. Avoid this place. The man seemed like the owner does not know how to treat a customer or a person. Period. Def never going back!!

I always come here and each time am inspired to rave about this place. The staff is super friendly , they're very helpful and patient when there's mental overload of what to order! This morning I got stood up by my friend (probably overslept from a busy night out, or work, hope she's okay you know who you are!) but nothing's going to dampen my spirits since am happily enjoying my caramel Macchiato, and smoked salmon scramble. I just soak in the ambience: there's a table next to me of young college students working on their laptops, 11 o'clock is the bar with professionals and their laptops (yep, we can't disconnect from our devices) , 9 o'clock is a guy chilling on the couch reading his book... just a wonderful Saturday morning gathering of folks just enjoying the ambience, the instrumental music playing (is anybody noticing?)... The food doesn't need any rating, expected to be yummy. And my smoked salmon scramble is no exception. Bon Appetit everyone, check out Cafe Stella on Colonial Avenue in Norfolk!

Cute little breakfast spot with great counter help! I came in 10min before they closed and they could have turned me away, but they were super sweet and made me breakfast! Also the counter made sure I had everything I needed! Thank you so much for making my day better!!!

stopped in with my bf for a quick little bite on sunday afternoon. straight away i fell in love with the decor! it's nice and trendy but also very cozy and open! we both got the chai latte and the dirty chai... one word: MARVELOUS! if i could bottle it up and take it home i would have lol. we also split a breakfast sandwich that had the fluffiest eggs i've ever tasted, and the flavors on said sandwich just meshed extremely well. 10/10 would come again!

Yay! Back open ?! My vanilla latte was picture perfect & delicious. My burger, well I had to two-hand it, so good with the sautéed onions and bacon! Nice to have the cafe back open with friendly service! CHECK IT OUT FOLKS!!

Terrible service. I'm a regular there and almost always buy their sub par beverages because I like the ambiance. The other day I went in at 7 pm just for a couple hours to get some work done then leave. They pregnant lady manager (or whatever she is) almost immediately told me I had to get up and go if I'm not purchasing anything because I need to make space for paying customers. I'm sorry I didn't want any caffeine at 7 pm so I was not up all night? And Ive also been a regular there for 8ish months and never once was told I had to leave on days I didn't buy a drink right away while studying. The pregnant worker was so rude I don't want to go back there. it's a shame because the actual ambiance is not bad. If only she used her energy towards making actual good beverages instead of trying to find any reason to tell people what to do. Needless to say, never going back here again because of one person.

This is the fist time that I have a coffe better than starbucks. The place has a huge menu and also bakery items the banana bread is compared to the one we had in Hawaii thatvis very famous for been good. The enviroment is very ligh with a retro decoration. We love it.

Popped in for the first time from a local Esthetics recommendation. Had the Tumeric (golden) latte and a piece of carrot cake. Both tasted great. Service was good. Tons of seating, inside and out. I will be back!

I was disappointed to walk over and see it closed. No signs on the door indicated it being closed—it was just locked. Mail seemed to be piling up inside through the mail slot and it looked rather dirty and abandoned inside.It would have been nice for management to indicate this online to save others the trip.

I have been coming to Stella's for years and love the vibe of the café! They offer a wide array of food and coffee, all of it is delicious. I especially enjoy the pastries (must try the salted caramel brownie) and a latte. Easily one of my top 3 coffee shops in Norfolk!
