Delicious!!! I ordered the Oreo Croffle, Strawberry Croffle, and Greek Wrap for takeout. And every single item is delish! The croffle cream is perfectly sweet and the croffle has a chewy and light texture. The greek wrap has a nice soft wrap and the ingredients are fresh and tingle your tastebuds in the best way. I love the basil pesto in the wrap too. I’m looking forward to trying the Pistachio Croffle next :)Finding Cafe James was a bit tricky for a first visit, but now, i’ll do anything for a croffle. I recommend entering the center door closest to N Center Dr. (photo attached) Once you enter there, you will take some steps and turn left. Cafe James has a sign hanging above their doorway. And if you can’t find it, keep looking…it’s worth it! (pls correct me if i’m wrong!)

Previous poster was right in that it is a bit difficult to find, but worth the effort. Appears to be a snack shop for the folks who work at the office park where it's located. Regardless, the bulgogi was very, very good -- think Philly cheese steak, but with thinly sliced and highly marinated pork, a little on the sweet side -- with carmelized onions and provolone cheese. Fast, friendly service. Clean as a whistle. They have lots of other stuff, too: subs, salads, something called a "croffle" (kind of a cross between a Belgian waffle and a banana split).

I got stuck waiting for a doctors appointment and found this place. It was clean, they had very good food, wasn’t too busy and the staff was very nice. It was a good place to have to sit and wait until I could go to my doctors appointment.

I am soooo glad I read a review AND got a recommendation from a friend of mine to try Cafe James. It’s within an Office Building - James Building, thus the cafe’s name! There’s nothing underrated about this place. The door way trick you into thinking “oh no some office cubicles!” But quite the contrary, it’s a clean cafe with seating area, a TV for you to watch while in line to order. I came when there’s not a line so I got time to ask what’s their popular selections- it’s the chicken avocado wrap or Thai chicken wrap ; and if you’re into salads - it’s the tuna salad…So many things are so right about this place. The owner (I assume) is at the order counter, greets you with a smile and soft voice. I eyed the board that has tons of yummy croffle pictures. At first he said no more croffles, come back tomorrow. But then I stared at the croffle pictures too long, he then asked whether I like pistachio, Oreo or lotus (biscoff) croffle . I picked 2 - pistachio and Lotus and he started making them (I think it’s just the others have fresh fruits which at the time I got here it’s almost closing time).I ordered to go. Got home and quite excited about how the croffles looked - yummy! And the Thai chicken wrap was wrapped in checkered paper and a smiley face sticker was used! It was delicious with right amount of chicken crunch, fresh lettuce and sauce that’s so on point. The croffles look and are delicious! Would definitely come back to try their salads and paninis!

This place was a little bit hard to find because there isn't a big sign out on the road like many other restaurants. I'm glad we did find it, though. The food was really good, and everybody was happy, even the picky eaters with special requests. The lady at the counter went through my entire receipt, showing me each item to confirm it's there, and also explain how they handled each special request (often giving a little bit extra of one thing, when something else was omitted). We didn't get dessert this time, but the selection was very appealing. Maybe next time! For a good, quick, cheap lunch option this one is Highly Recommended

This was a cute Cafe, great for ppl who want something good but not too heavy to eat and on the go. I met my friend there, she had a salad, I had a tuna sandwich. We both really enjoyed our food. It wasn't a lot of food but I was definitely content and able to go about my day without feeling stuffed. Their customers are mostly medical professionals which is cool bc they have a place they can walk to outside of the hospital, er, Dr's office etc.

Great lunch spot! If you are in the Sentara Leigh area you have to stop here. The Gobbler and the Sunnybird are awesome, along with most of their other sandwiches. It's kind of odd to find but worth it. Years ago they were located at Kemps River and it was called Cafe Central. They have been at this location for a long time under the current name, Cafe James. Different owners but literally a lot of the same menu items. The bread that they use is the best bread ever!
Parking: Cafe James is literally in a medical/office building. It's kind of an odd place but easy to get to once you know it's there. Bottom floor and their are signs.
