i’ve never had a problem here. my iced lattes & the granby sandwich are always great. the workers aren’t chatty, so if that’s the kind of place you want then maybe skip this one- but they do their work fast & well. i’ve never waited longer than 15 minutes for a drink & hot sandwich! see ya next weekend stella crew!!

Fantastic neighborhood cafe. Super friendly staff and better than expected food. The Friday night jazz was just awesome and a great way to spend an evening. Only knock is when it gets busy, the coffee quality dips a little and can be inconsistent. Nothing a little training can’t fix though.

A real ghent gem! This place is one of the better coffee houses around. It's a popular spot for students and locals. It homey and quaint with a antique charm. I love this place! The prices are reasonable and the place is just so charming!

I have come to this coffee shop for many years. It opens late; it has great coffee; the environment is great… Come here often with friends.

This is a very interesting, very gen z place. It has a very chill vibe. People were working, playing board games, reading books, on a date, hanging out. A perfect cafe atmosphere. The only reason I have given 4star and not 5 is because their coffee and service was average. We had to go multiple times at the counter to make sure we got what we had ordered. But the staff was friendly and sweet. We didn’t eat any hot food so no comments on that. But we did have some pastries and the cardamom coffee cake was to die for! Definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a very relaxed chill spot

Witnessed mistreatment, racial prejudice, and condescending behavior in this establishment. I have heard many stories from women of color who faced discrimination in this establishment wouldn’t recommend going the owner is rude and the environment isn’t welcoming.

Cafe Stella is an urban cafe with a good menu. Finding a drink menu was hard and I had to ask the barista their recommendation. During lunch it is busy. Definitely not a quiet cafe but fun for lunch dates etc

Very nice and quirky cafe. I enjoyed an iced mocha and also tried the breakfast skillet. Overall really good, but would have preferred more seasoning & some more bacon in my skillet. Atmosphere was great! Enjoyed the live piano during my meal.

I received a very hot tea(hot enough to cause 2nd degree almost 3rd degree burns on 60% of my thighs) with a lid that did not fit and no grip on the cup to hold the hot cup well. The owner was unwilling to help with any of my emergency room bills, and treated me rudely then just ignored me. At least have some compassion if anything. Felt thrown aside and now I have permanent scarring on my legs. It’s not even the money at that point just be a good human being. Never going back and I don’t recommend it.

I cannot say enough things about Café Stella! I came here nearly everything day as a masters student at ODU for the months leading up to my big licensing exam. It was the perfect place to study. I spent hours at a time here, sometimes by myself and sometimes in study groups. The food was delicious and perfect brain food, the atmosphere and seating options accommodated all types of groups and were very comfy, great coffee and tea, and could finish a long study session with a drink! This place made the stressful months and long days more enjoyable. Cheers to Café Stella for helping me pass my licensing exam!

If you plan to visit, understand that it is also a place to give back for their hard-working establishment. They are more than happy to help you in buying their great food and drinks, but you must GIVE before you can receive yourself a seat and enjoy their well decorated environment and wifi.
Enjoy this very tight community that
Starbucks cannot give as well and often.
But the male owner should work on his greetings (first impression) instead of his stare that made me feel uncomfortable. Not even a smile...Luckily he has an intelligent wife to offset his arrogance.
