I was really looking forward to trying Capo Capo with my boyfriend, but our experience was so bad that we will never go back and I can’t recommend it to anyone.
We arrived and saw the busboy outside dribbling a basketball for several minutes, looking like he had zero interest in being at work. When we walked in, the hostess seated us and said our server would be right with us. Fifty minutes later, no one had come to the table, not even to take a drink order. The original person who greeted us completely disappeared.
During that time, the same busboy who had been playing basketball outside finally came in, wandered around, and started slowly setting the rest of the tables for dinner service while we were sitting there starving and ignored.
Eventually I had to flag down another waitress who was running a different section. She apologized and said no one had ever told her we were sitting there and that our table wasn’t on anyone’s section. That means for almost an hour we were literally forgotten about.
The complete lack of communication, inattentive staff, and zero sense of urgency made the whole evening a waste. We left without eating and went somewhere else.
The food might be good (I honestly wouldn’t know), but the service was the worst I’ve experienced in years in Norfolk. Save your money and your evening and go literally anywhere else!

We made a reservation for 6pm but ran a little late, and received a courtesy call. They were able to reschedule us 30 minutes later with no problems, which was our first green flag. When we first entered, it's was empty so, of course, me and my wife were skeptical, with it being Saturday evening. The hostess was very quick and attentive, seating us quickly. The restaurant was immaculate, the tables were clean, wine glasses and silverware were placed on the table, it was absolutely beautiful. They played lovely music at a very subtle volume, Frank Sinatra and the like. Our server, Sean, was incredible. He was very attentive, checking our table every time he walked by. He was very bubbly and even sang to some of the music while at the kiosk. The food was absolutely astonishing. We had the Bruschetta, side salads (Caesar), and fried Calamari as appetizers; Chicken Milanese and Chicken Scarpariello as entrees; and Italian Lemon Cake, Tiramisu, and Biscoff gelato for dessert. Everything was seasoned to perfection, nothing was dry, and the sauces complimented the food without overpowering the flavor of the dish. It was my Wife's birthday, and when I made the reservation, I requested for the desserts to have “Happy 28th Birthday” written in a sauce on one of the platters. I thought they forgot, but when Sean brought out desserts, he brought them out on a wooden platter with exactly what I requested. We will be frequent diners here for the remainder of our time in the area. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. HIDDEN GEM IN DOWNTOWN NORFOLK! 💎
Hands down worst restaurant experience. Took forever for food to come out. Some orders of food came out at least 45 minutes- 1 hr apart. Half of our group were finished eating by the time other food arrived. The pizza looked and tasted just like it was a frozen pizza, but worse. The worst part was they forgot my son’s pizza order and waited 1.5 hrs for his food and at that point, we were getting our checks. The food was not good, especially for the amount you pay. The atmosphere was the only good thing I can say about the place.

It is a great quiet romantic little place for a date night. The food was hot and delicious. And the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend it!!!
While our service was lovely, each of the five plates that we ordered were over seasoned so much so that several of us had indigestion the following day and the majority of us only consumed a third of our dishes. I felt guilty as I was the one who researched our dinner plans that evening and we all wanted to try somewhere new. The only dish palatable was the tomato basil soup which I would recommend highly.
The ceasar salad had been sitting in a refrigerator with the dressing on it for over 24 hours. I got my salad before the drink I ordered even though I ordered the drink first. I waiting fifteen minutes to get my entree. The gnocchi was covered in so much cheese it was hard to find the gnocchi. The manager did comp my dinner and the server did her best to make it an enjoyable experience.
The food was delicious and our waitress was incredibly kind and energetic. She really made the experience enjoyable. That said, the noise level was quite high, making it hard to hold a conversation at times. Seating felt a bit cramped and awkward. Overall, a good meal with great service, but the atmosphere might not be for everyone.
Comfortable seating and calm lighting — nice touch.
Wonderful
Great spot for late night food, but nothing special.

It'll we made reservations so we could eat and make a show at the Scope theater but it took an hour and a half to get our food. It was absolutely crazy. Once the food came it was very good but we had to eat so fast to try and not be late. Unfortunately, not a good experience
The Cowboy Ribeye is fabulous, the garlic shrimp were decadent, the Mac-n-cheese….yummy! We were staying at Marriott and decided to try the restaurant and we are picky, and particular about a good steak and this by far exceeded our expectations. The bartender was engaging, informative and delightful! Strongly recommend.
Only had drinks but service was fast and prompt.

I ordered room service. The service was great however I expected a much higher quality of food and taste. I ordered the meatballs and the fried rissoto balls. The meatballs were raw in the middle so I only ate the outside. Also they were very dense and heavy. The marinara was very flavorable and that is what I used as my dipping sauce for the fried rissoto. The consistency was creamy on the inside and a nice crunch on the outside. It did mention that their was mushroom inside the rissoto but I only seen a few specs and could not taste it. The sauce they gave to dip the rissoto was colored mayo, skip that sauce and use the marinara instead.
Absolutely loved the meal and the service ! I love the levels of the restaurant and the overall elegant vibe. Perfect for classy events ! I had a ball and everything was great
