Not as good as it used to be the food.Will to greasy makes you sick and there in a hurry and it stinks in there

Decided to try for the first time in 5+ years and fully regret spending $15 bucks.
The catfish was mushy and the breading lacked flavor. The ham in the green beans was gray and the beans had a weird taste. The hush puppies were soggy and the tea taste like it’s been sitting out for a couple days.
No wonder why I see so many closing down🤢

By the time we got our food. The coleslaw was warm and the fish was greasy and not flaky like it used to be almost stale tasting. I know the drive-thru can take a bit for your food but it seemed to be longer than normal.

I always make at least on stop to see the captain when I'm in the Norfolk area. But when I heard they have lobster rolls I had to load up the crew, raise the anchor and hoist the sail on the USS Chrysler Pacifica and set sail. The waters where rough on the way but we finally docked up next to the captains port and were friendly greeted by the crew, ordered our grub and quickly received our load. The food was hot, tastey, fresh and good portions. Well enough to curb the scurvy on my crew. Although the area is a bit sketchy, the captain is a treasure chest of fried goodness. Not sure why all the negative reviews but I guess you can never please a pirate.

Captin Ds has disappointed me the last two times I’ve been to this location last time I got the lunch special and my fried fish breading was soggy decided to try again a month later and got a family meal and my food was fried in old grease and had black breading on all my fish. Check all your food before pulling off they got me twice now I won’t risk it again personally

Every single time I’ve ordered from here through Uber Eats, my order has been wrong or missing items. Absolutely the worst service and no accountability m. It would be best if HQ shut this location down. The people do not care and lack accountability.

So this is 3 weeks in a row now im come to this location and something that is being advertised nationwide u all are out of how is that even possible on top how can u not run out the garlic butter fries but are always out of the shrimp makes no sense at all. The management either needs training on how to order stock or close cause I won't return to this location ever

When I walked in about 1:25-26 pm today I was greeted, but when asked the cashier about a item I was inquiring about on the wall when I walked in she couldn't answer. The cashier didn't have an name tag on. I thought I could get the name off the receipt, but the name had Jeffrey and she was a Lady not a man 🙄 I went on with my order, and that was taking very well... but I felt very uncomfortable with with two employees
a man, and lady and man(employees) were laughing and talking in the lobby while looking at me. I was the only one in the restaurant during this time, I felt like it they were laughing at me. The lady (employee) went on laughing all the way to the kitchen.The man(employee ) was laughing while sitting the lobby at the long table. I was going to eat in the lobby, but I changed my mind because I felt uncomfortable. So I as the the cashier to take my food to go. I got my food to go the man(employee) that was still at the table said by to me, but didn't say hello to me because he was so laughing when I was at the register while looking at me. I didn't say by back. I just left. The restaurant was clean but had a funky smell. My food wasn't cooked all the way. It was no need to talk management there today, it would have went through one ear to the other. I just will not go back.😒

Much better service than previous visits. Nice drive thru window guy. Everything ordered was in the bag on the first try. Avoided this restaurant for a couple of years. Long wait but otherwise a good experience.
