This is my first time at the new location since Carmen's. So I started safe with the California burrito and an order of three Taco delinguas . The tacos were delicious soft and fresh corn tortillas with a good portion of meat well seasoned. The salsas we're also very good ,neither too hot, but the fresh tomato taste is very prominent, honestly incredible The layers it has. The California burrito was mostly potato and corn but I also think maybe my work boots and to-go order implied that I'd be eating this on the go so maybe it was out of consideration to kind of keep it tidy ,which if so I appreciate. Overall $45 was quite a price to not include rice or beans I did buy a soda as well lime jaritos* which was cold and refreshing as always. It was very good, but authentic great Latin/Spanish food is kind of crowded market ,just on little creek alone. But as for a local ocean view establishment it's very good albeit pricey

Had a pretty rough experience here. No heater, so it was pretty chilly inside. They make you pay for chips and salsa, which was a bummer. Service was super slow almost 40 minutes just to get a snack! I ordered what I thought was chicharrón but got preparado instead. At least the food is fresh, so it might be worth a try if you have the patience.

Just wasn't my day, I guess.

I know hard times and inflation it’s around the corner but this place it’s a ripoff you get low value food at the highest price I order what said was a seafood soup omg 29 dollars I didn’t even order a drink it’s so awful , if you rich don’t mind this but if you are pay check to pay check do not come here

Okay I love this place and come here all the time.. tonight was so disappointing. It was only around 540/6 when I placed my order. The service is always nice I order to go all of the time.
I ordered flauta meal and papusas.
The rice is usually so fluffy it was under cooked.. the flautas were over cooked!! To my surprise I had dry hard chicken .
The papusas were delicious as usual!

As someone else noted, the pupusas are now very thin, fried hard, and have basically no filling. When this place was called Carmen’s, the pupusas were good.

I think the new owners should take pupusas off their menu completely.

The slaw and salsa were good.

Went last night (11/15) with a small group of people. My husband and I ordered the flautas to split, two people got the papusas, and another the burrito. Everyone got their food except my husband and I. They said they lost our ticket?? We waited another 15 minutes for ours. They were over cooked and barely edible. Everyone else’s food was good. I’ll give it another shot but wasn’t impressed with my first visit.

My family and me are always happy with the food we get from here. We used to always get it for pick up, but we have recently been going to the restaurant to dine in. Always good service and good food. Good variety of dishes. A great family owned business.

We had the Salvadorian breakfast. It was the first time I highly recommend it!!! We had it with the 4 oz steak and that was the most flavorful steak I've ever had. Our waitresses very nice and the food came quickly! Definitely a 10 out of 10. Me and my husband ain't there it was 55$ for both, the amount of food you get though completely worth it! I had the aqua fresca pineapple delicious ?. My had the champurrado. Which I've had in other places and it was really chunky and not appealing. I took a sip of his and was very creamy and Rich and delicious. My husband is Salvadorian and he says it's one of the best places he's been. In this area,Hands down.

So I had been wanting some pupusa. Read the reviews and was excited to try. I had ordered 8 pork and cheese. Needless to say was extremely disappointed. There was no filling. All I tasted and could see was the breading. Then the slaw was just pit in a sandwhich bag and tied. What happened to a container?U fortunately I will not be back for them. Guess I'll have to keep searching. I had spent 35 and it was a definite waste of money

We enjoyed every single bite of our dinner. The enchiladas were delicious and so were the pupusas. We ordered aguas frescas and they did not disappoint! The portions were nice and the homemade salsa was addictive as well as their freshly made chips. We're definitely happy and will return again! ?

Only got atol de elote but the size is huge! For the price, I think it's worth it. It was peaceful while I waited for them to be ready. The music was good. So far I like the flavor of the atol.

I'm really glad I stopped to eat at this unassuming Hispanic spot. I can get tacos and burritos at home, you can't throw a rock without hitting a 'mexican' restaurant even if the population is mostly from Puerto Rico. But here they're more of a Pan Americas restaurant than the standard tex mex. They have a fairly extensive menu that includes Honduran, Panamanian, and Salvadorian along with their Mexican dishes. Half of the space is set up as a to go hot bar, similar to Moe's or Chipotle. I decided to stay and eat in the dine in section. I originally came for the Papusas, which I have not had since I moved from Florida. There's a Salvadorian restaurant in Tallahassee that makes what has become my standard bearer for Papusas (and beans and rice). This place measures up and then some. I ordered the cheese and bean, cheese and pork and a loroco(squash blossom). They correctly serve it with curtido, which was really different from previous versions. Almost sauerkraut-like, but not fermented. Both the cheese/bean/pork were just as good as the ones I've had before. The loroco was a different beast entirely. I've had squash blossoms several times in multiple forms, Papusas, tacos and even a pasta. These made me question whether that was true or not. In some cases I saw them cook them so I know what I was eating, but OMG I don't know if this was a different variety, or they were super fresh. The flavor of these were of no comparison. These had such a heavy, delectable floral taste I had never experienced before. It was shocking the difference in flavor. So much so I had to say something to my server who also was the namesake of the restaurant. She explained had they had a hard time finding a supplier, but the one they have is superb. She was also super sweet and friendly, and frankly really cute too. But Never Ever flirt with your server, they don't like that ish, they are working! As I was the only one there, she talked to me while waiting for my food, and made me not feel like a lonely old man as I sat in an empty restaurant. I wish I could've done them more justice and cleaned my plate, but I ended up taking most to go to eat later. Everything was still just as good the next morning. And I can't forget the hot sauces, they have a variety of house made that were all good. Y'all locals better start flocking here cause if I come back and they're gone, I'm going to be pissed!
