Incredible, outstanding, unique. Reserving a table was easy. The atmosphere was very quaint and calming; just what I needed after a month of chaotic work. The customer service was exquisite, especially as E was waiting on three tables and K was cooking up magic in the kitchen. The food was so good!! Left feeling more than satisfied; no evening snacks required tonight. Then finished the night with a few cocktails, including an off-menu cocktail that E made up on the spot and wow; it hit the spot. The perfect warming cocktail to finish the night on. Amazy!! Thank you and see you soon team!!

I sought out Chartreuse Bistro based off of reviews prior to visiting the Norfolk area. I am really glad I was able to stop in for lunch. The service was incredible & the menu was unique in a way that makes you want to go back to see what else they come up with. I had a great time & wish the owners the best to keep doing what they do.

May be the best restaurant in Norfolk. Food, service, atmosphere and wine were perfect.

What a wonderful experience. My boyfriend surprised me and took me here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We both left very happy, I would highly recommend.

Chef Chris is an inspirational person. He without question loves his cuisine, the taste of the food is very unique and deserves attention.I was served a pickled jalapeno club soda, a very airy and well seasoned focaccia (if you enjoy a cheese pizza with no sauce you will greatly enjoy this). The Faroe Islands Salmon was perfectly cooked, the crusty sear, medium rare, the chocolate hummus I'm not gonna lie sounds like a crazy idea, but the bitterness of the chocolate blended well with the fish, the radish, and the pesto.Finished lunch off with a slice of almond orange cake, dark chocolate ganache, covered with a homemade whipped cream. It was so amazing, the chocolate was very vibrant, the cream made it obviously creamy, but then you got this pop off orange, all without it being overly sweet.I don't know if these recipes will ever be there again since they change their menu daily and get deliveries from local farmers (Mattawoman Creek Farms was one of the names) also the fish is also locally sourced. Don't miss out on what could be a one time experience.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Chartreuse. The outstanding service began with the call for reservations and didn't end until we left that evening. When making my reservation, I explained to the hostess that my husband had a food allergy and that it was a special night for us. When we arrived, our menus Were made just for us with "Happy Anniversary" printed on them. While ordering with our server, he was aware of the food allergy and made sure to communicate it with the chef without needing a reminder from us. The food was incredible! It was quiet in the restaurant (we were there on a weeknight). The dining room is open and Modern. The meal was a bit on the pricey side but it was worth it and we were celebrating. we will surely return there for another amazing meal. Chartreuse, if you are reading this, thank you for making our anniversary even more special!

The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. Portions were not huge, so take that into account when ordering. I had a delicious salad and margarita, along with a fabulous chocolate cake for dessert.

Your taste buds will thank you. Everything done with great care (from the decor to the service). Staff is highly knowledgeable and charming. A must go to not only for norfolk but Virginia.

Excellent service and food. Great cocktails and good wine selection. Also impeccable clean. We wanted a table outdoors, they disinfected table and chairs for us before we were seated. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely come back when in town.

When I go to a very expensive place, I expect near perfection. Selecting wines is usually my forte. Not here. The list was obtuse. The server didn't drink alcohol so could not suggest wines except from others feedback. There were no familiar wines and no familiar California selections. Wines were from $60 to $95 per bottle. The salmon was good but a small portion. Nothing comforting about the serving of veggies or potatoes that accompanied. The presentation was very French. A few potatoes a few greens. The charge for bread was $6 oer plate, and our table of 9 spent $36 on bread, a very small amount with a little bit of butter per plate. The ham steak was good, everyone enjoyed their meal. The value for the cost wasn't there for me.

I thoroughly enjoy this experience. The ambiance, service and food was delicious. I tasted the best wine I’ve ever had. The beef was properly cooked and the chocolate cake was decadent and moist. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It is pricey but worth it for the experience.

This is one of my favorite lil gems in Norfolk. Reservations are a must because of the size of the restaurant. It's a cozy lil spot the size of a teacup with windows that line the restaurant. The menu changes daily based on the season and the food is fresh with a modern presentation , excellent variety of wine with interesting cheeses and freshly baked bread.
