3 stars because all though the food is amazing and freah, even when yall are supposed to be open yall arent. Recently i went there and a sign on the door said opens at 12….i got there at 215, called the one in va beach, they asked someone what time norfolk location opens and they said 230. There was someone inside so i decided to wait until 240 and still didnt open. I live in Portsmouth so when i do come over the tunnel i be kraaaaaaavin this food, just said they more closed than they are open cause i dont mind spending the money on tolls, gas, or parking08/19 12:25 so i check the web and it says they are open. I get around the area at 12:15 cant find parking so I decided to call that way when i park i can just pick it up. I call and even though theyre open…orders arent being taken.

Food was fresh, hot, and had a real taste. My kids and husband also really enjoyed it. We got a variety of food and enjoyed sharing and all was good. Shrimp was really good.

Cook was very rude came in hour before closing was rushed out restaurant. Half the food on menu was unviable.

I went to cherry o to go for the first time today I had the cat fish Mac and collards, and everything was great I recommend this place for your go to soul food spot in a prime location. Markcus Ruffin said so.

Lawd where do I begin only came here bcuz a food vloger said it was good not sure which location he went to..but we went Saturday night I already knew what I wanted get there and they were out of everything then we were told 30 mins for our order we end waiting an hour the fish wasn’t hot the whiting wasn’t really seasoned greens and baked beans were good..they don’t have fountain drinks just overpriced bottle drinks I order a lemonade end up getting a cherry lemonade I’m allergic to cherries..it’s nice inside the bathrooms are clean but it’s just unorganized..I was so excited drove 45mins just to be disappointed don’t think we’ll return.

My coworkers rave about this place so I had to tried it. We all love the food here! I love that you can place your order over the phone. The order taker is so patient and so sweet even though we have 4 orders sometimes. They don’t mind us splitting the bills and giving us the individual totals during the call. Each time we literally have no complaints when delivered using a food delivery service. This past Sunday, I decided to go pick the food up myself. The establishment was recently remodeled and let me just say, It is beautiful on the inside. Conveniently nestled on Granby street, I was able to park with no issue. The young ladies taking my payments are so respectful, you can tell they take pride in working here. The quality of the food is superb. The fried chicken is golden brown and tasty. The other thing we love is the way the food is packaged. We greatly appreciate that Cherry O packages everything separately with no missing items and condiments ever!

Stay away from this place, credit card machine is always done and they always out of food. Poor customer service!!! So you ask your customers to walk to a ATM five minutes away then come back? We're good not coming back here again, it's always some type of disappointment ?Very unprofessional and not friendly at all!!!

The food was decent here however the location in Norfolk is always closed despite the normal hours of operation and they are not updating on the website if they are closed. I ordered online only to show up and the restaurant be closed.

I think this Norfolk location is going to end up out of business. This location is always closed, inspite of being open Thursday 'Sunday. They never answer the phone, and when you arrive they never have enough food. They claim everything is sold out!! They need to tighten up or go completely out of Bussniess. Food isn't bad tho....

Pork Chops were delicious. My wings weren't dipped in BBQ sauce. Yams had too much syrup, greens tasted funny, Mac was okay. Paid for a slice cake and was told it was in the bag but it wasn't.

This establishment is definitely a hidden treasure on Granby Street. I stopped by last week for a welcomed surprise. The catfish, greens and potato salad was superb. The cornbread wasn't quite up to par but everything else was delicious. I returned a couple days later and ordered the fried pork chops w/greens and potato salad. Love their greens. Also ordered a roll instead of the cornbread. It was fantastic. I recommend giving this place a try. I will be returning possibly soon. This is just what Granby Street needed. A soul food restaurant with a whole lot of love and soul in their food.

45 minute WAIT when NOT busy. The person at the register taking my orders got my order wrong. The cook in the back took 45 minutes to get 3 orders ready. My other two coworkers asked for thier money back and was ignored by the order-taker and walked to the cook to see if order was ready, took another 10 minutes. She refused to refund my coworkers money and ignored the request. The food was decent, but very poor customer service.
