Driving around Trying to find something to do and we decided we wanted to go to a mall so my friend Recommended this mall. First I love the art galleries, I think it's amazing that they have art galleries around so people can see other artist art. Also you can appreciate how much hard work and dedication goes into creating the art and also showcasing your talent. I loved at the mall had everything inside they had a movie theater different shopping stores restaurants dine in carry out. So many different options and things for you to see different stores some that you've heard of an others that you have not and the ones that you haven't heard of hat pretty good prices in them as well. I noticed the security officers which I find very nice because you know that if you need anything they are around to help you with any issues that you may be having.

Customer service is seet and simple. Workers are always polite and friendly but they work in a smooth and streamlined fashion. Very nice.

Great mall with a Dillard's anchor store that is one of the largest in the state. Plenty of parking. Largest Regal movie theater in the area that provides a discounted parking validation for their patrons. I can't believe this mall is already 21 years old but still as relevant as the day they opened.

MacArthur use to be a bustling mall. Now 1/2 the stores are gone. The good part was parking was only a dollar. The major stores are all gone. It's really sad this mall is a beautiful mall and it is a shame that it is not busy.

Less than 7 hours I decided to go inside and have a look around the Macarthur Center shopping mall in Norfolk Virginia partially influenced by enjoying previous visits to the mall part of 2008 andor 2009. Obviously multiple parts of the mall have changed since then and I noticed certain spots that were open included: California Pizza Kitchen, Johnny Rockets, Texas De Brazil, Barnes & Noble, an apple store, certain places in the food court-charlies philly steaks chilis panda express (I got some honey walnut shrimp from Panda Express at a reasonable price), a calendar games & toys place was also open at the time and I noticed at least two Bank of America atms inside the mall. The only caveat I noticed is that the mall seems quieter compared to the last time I visited even though I left the mall sometime well before 7pm and before seeing if the movie theater inside the mall was open (though to be fair this was on a Saturday night and with the covid19 pandemic being far from completely over). Aside from that caveat I obviously intend to visit the mall more times sometime in the future timeframe.

This mall was overall a good experience. The parking was fine to navigate. The cleanliness of the mall was satifisfactory. I commend the people of the area of combing with Barnes and Noble and the nearby Tidewater Community College. There is an impressive selection of other non textbooks as well. My husband was very pleased walking out with a few hard to find supplemental college type books that you often have to special order.

This was a nice mall. I'm glad we stumbled upon it. There were lots of stores open selling a variety of goods. Everyone was friendly and attentive while in their store. They are practicing social distancing throughout the mall. The food court was clean. Ate at Charlie's Steakery and Panda Express. Charlie's was good and provided fast and quality customer service. Same with Panda. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend and visit again. Oh and good deal on the clean restrooms and hot water as well.

[Coronavirus review] The Center is in a downtown area with some surrounding streets blocked off when I visited, and very limited parking. The garage required a dollar in payment even for a quick stay; no freebies here. It is an open and airy building, and some people were unmasked inside. Many stores were not open, and the future of malls like this remains an open question. However, it met my need.

The mall of course isn't what it used to be, but it is nice to see that they are doing some community events to interest people into coming to the mall. Unfortunately, I don't think most of the stores benefit from that traffic. There are still decent stores here, but sad to see a lot of the spaces being turned into large paintings or advertisements since the amount of new stores isn't comparative to the ones that are closing. Also, there seems to be a recent element I have noticed...the smell of marijuana in the parking lots, inside elevators, hallways...not sure if security is just lacking or they have just gotten used to the smell. I'm assuming the mall is a drug-free area?!

When I first moved to Tidewater - Hampton Roads - Coastal Virginia (757) a decade ago, people told me the best shopping was at MacArthur Mall. While it provided a variety of stores and vendors, it's struggled to keep up with the changing times. You'll still find some of those throwback mall stores like Barnes & Noble, Claire's and Hot Topic, there's also a mix of stores like Michael Kors, LUSH, J. Jill and LOFT. While I don't do most of my shopping here, the mall is a great central place to meet up with friends and perhaps even have dinner at one of the adjacent restaurants. Parking is reasonably priced and I never feel unsafe while I'm there.

I am leaving an honest account of the decline of a once wonderful mall shopping experience. My husband and I along with our family have shopped here for over a decade. At least once a week you could find us here. We have spent many hours and money at Williams and Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Nordstrom's, and Eddie Bauer, now ALL GONE..... supposedly having to leaving because of high rent cost. Despite all of these establishments no longer at MacArthur we decided to stop by; we were in the area and needed to buy some kind of little sweater, or jacket for our niece. I can't say that I was surprised by both children's store's having, "going out of business" sales. I remember walking through the mall on a "week day", and it would be buzzing with shoppers, parking lots full, and in the entire mall you'd find maybe one closed, (if that) store. Walking through the mall on our way back to our car we saw yet another couple of store closings. It is a very sad time for this once, hot spot, "store packed", great place to shop/eat-in beautiful mall. I'm not sure what stores will hang in there. Dillard's is their only large department store and with a Dillard's closer to our home I can't see us ever returning to MacArthur again. MacArthur's glory days are definitely laid to rest.

This was probably the best Cinnabon I have been to. The cinnamon roll was hot, sweet, and just the perfect amount of icing! Normally, some of the rolls I get at other locations are dry, but at this location, the rolls were done to perfection!
