The pizza slices were delicious. Outside was pet friendly. Service was great, they even brought out a water bowl for the dog.

I’m usually a huge fan of Cogan’s, but our visit to the Ghent location on Saturday, February 14th, was unfortunately a bit of a letdown. My family and I came in expecting the usual high standard, but the service and some of the food just didn't hit the mark this time. The biggest issue was the wait time to get any drinks we ordered and some of my family's food took over an hour to be served. We weren't the only ones, as we noticed several other tables around us having the same problem.
I typically go to the North Colley location where I never have any issues with speed or quality. I’m hopeful this was just a one-off bad night for the Ghent team, but it was a disappointing experience for my family nonetheless.

Called at 4:32 to put an order in for 2 pizzas, cheese curds and cheesy bread and was told it would be ready in “25 minutes”. Arrived at the restaurant at 4:54 and was told they are still waiting for the pizzas. After 20 more minutes waiting was then told the kitchen lost the ticket and was making our order. Finally at 5:48 I received my order and everything was bone cold (minus the pizzas). Over an hour waiting for 2 pizzas and two apps for them to be un edible. Highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Recently found this pizza spot over the holidays. And I have been back 4-5 times. The pizza is amazing and most definitely the best pizza I have had in the area. The staff was awesome matched well with the cool dive bar atmosphere. Shout out to the cooks that make the top tier food, as well as to my server Adell .

I went with my two kids. One ordered spaghetti and meatballs, other shared a pizza and I ordered a beer. The beer sat at the bar for ten minutes until I asked the waiter to please bring it. I asked her when she came to tell me there were no meatballs. We still went with the pasta and sauce because the child who ordered has dietary restrictions that didn’t allow for other things in the menu. They still charged us the 13.99 of spaghetti and meatballs!! Zero meat, still 14$. I asked if that was correct and the said yes.

Coogan's used to be a very fine counter culture bar, but the brothers sold the name to an average pizza joint. Carl still owns the building, but it ain't a little bit like the old bar. Yeah. some of the art work is till there. A little bit up the street is Stella's coffee house which is much more like the old Coogan's.

Visited Cogans Pizza for a weekday lunch with colleagues. The experience was mixed. The pizzas came out with noticeable inconsistencies: some pies were dense and overly thick, while others were so soft that slices fell apart. The space itself feels more like a bar that happens to serve pizza rather than a dedicated pizzeria—basic, casual, and clearly geared toward the after-work crowd.

I ordered a 16” pie with mild sauce, mozzarella, ham, chicken, and pineapple, along with a Diet Coke. The bill came to $47, which is steep for what you get. The tomato sauce tasted underdeveloped, carrying that raw, slightly sour note you get when it hasn’t been cooked long enough.

On the positive side, they offer a wide tap selection, and I can see the place working well if you’re here for drinks first and food second. After several beers, both the atmosphere and the pricing might feel more forgiving.

Overall, not a bad spot, but certainly not a value play. Given the price-to-quality ratio, I wouldn’t return for lunch.
