I've never received a pizza this undercooked.

Coogan's used to be a very fine counter culture bar, but the brothers sold the name to an average pizza joint. Carl still owns the building, but it ain't a little bit like the old bar. Yeah. some of the art work is till there. A little bit up the street is Stella's coffee house which is much more like the old Coogan's.

Visited Cogans Pizza for a weekday lunch with colleagues. The experience was mixed. The pizzas came out with noticeable inconsistencies: some pies were dense and overly thick, while others were so soft that slices fell apart. The space itself feels more like a bar that happens to serve pizza rather than a dedicated pizzeria—basic, casual, and clearly geared toward the after-work crowd.
I ordered a 16” pie with mild sauce, mozzarella, ham, chicken, and pineapple, along with a Diet Coke. The bill came to $47, which is steep for what you get. The tomato sauce tasted underdeveloped, carrying that raw, slightly sour note you get when it hasn’t been cooked long enough.
On the positive side, they offer a wide tap selection, and I can see the place working well if you’re here for drinks first and food second. After several beers, both the atmosphere and the pricing might feel more forgiving.
Overall, not a bad spot, but certainly not a value play. Given the price-to-quality ratio, I wouldn’t return for lunch.

Food was amazing, people pleasant, atmosphere somewhat inviting but seemed dated as far as design.
Bathrooms were far from clean.

We usually order from here but lately everything has gone downhill . The garlic knots had no toppings no garlic butter or olive oil on them . Just dry dough balls on top of vegetable oil . The pizza was even worse . Thrown in pepporoni just at the top 25% of the pie . With pizza places popping up everywhere they really need to keep the integrity of their craft so people stay loyal
This is like the 3rd time in a row it’s been bad and I never write a review unless it’s 3 times bc occasionally you can have an off night but the sauce is even gross

Delicious pies; particularly enjoy extra spicy sauce. Large beer/cider selection. Good subs. Quirky interior. Nice street patio.

The buffalo chicken pizza is not buffalo chicken pizza had old onion on it old chicken. I know blue cheese is old cheese, but it looks rotten. Make sure you don’t get thin crust pizza because it’s literally a sheet of tortilla bread with sauce.
The lunch box special is amazing. Two slices of spicy or regular pepperoni AND garlic knots.
Not a thing crust and not a deep dish pizza. Just a perfect crispy bottom crust pizza for a working man.
Portions were what a blue collar man needs for his lunch break.
I recommend this pizza for your family or just those 420 days.
