We usually order from here but lately everything has gone downhill . The garlic knots had no toppings no garlic butter or olive oil on them . Just dry dough balls on top of vegetable oil . The pizza was even worse . Thrown in pepporoni just at the top 25% of the pie . With pizza places popping up everywhere they really need to keep the integrity of their craft so people stay loyal
This is like the 3rd time in a row it’s been bad and I never write a review unless it’s 3 times bc occasionally you can have an off night but the sauce is even gross

Delicious pies; particularly enjoy extra spicy sauce. Large beer/cider selection. Good subs. Quirky interior. Nice street patio.

The buffalo chicken pizza is not buffalo chicken pizza had old onion on it old chicken. I know blue cheese is old cheese, but it looks rotten. Make sure you don’t get thin crust pizza because it’s literally a sheet of tortilla bread with sauce.

The lunch box special is amazing. Two slices of spicy or regular pepperoni AND garlic knots.
Not a thing crust and not a deep dish pizza. Just a perfect crispy bottom crust pizza for a working man.
Portions were what a blue collar man needs for his lunch break.
I recommend this pizza for your family or just those 420 days.

I love their pizza with the spicy sauce. Lots of beers on tap and great dive bar vibes.

As vegans, we LOVE this place. Their vegan pizza options are great you can customize any pizza with a wide variety of vegan meats we always go for the spcicy sausage. The service is always solid. The garlic knots are a must! The vibes are on point and the drink prices are reasonable. The parking can be tricky but we've always found spots so don't let that deture you.

I’m not giving any more stars than absolutely necessary because this place no longer deserves my business. I ordered an “artisan pizza” and it was tiny for $43.34. Also, the pizza was hard as it could be. Never going to go back to this place again. Also, Morgan the manager, was rude as she could be. Do better, Cogan’s.

Vegan Pepperoni pizza did not arrive as a pie. There was no discernible slices. There were maybe 5-6 cut up little pieces.

California dreamin pizza rocked. Loved Keith, great server.

Great pizza, great beer. Cogan's has been around foooooorever. It's a classic Ghent eatery with great beer, pool and music. Try the spicy sauce, it's my favorite. There's outside covered seating by the sidewalk, too. Also consider their larger location on Cooley Ave near ODU.

Pizza Complaint Review.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and was extremely disappointed. The pizza had almost no sauce, which is the best part of any good pizza. Instead, it was just a lot of cheese and a few pepperoni slices on dry dough. For $25, I expected a properly made pizza, not something that felt like a waste of time and money. Waiting an hour for this was frustrating. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.
