People friendly and dog friendly!!! Food is great and the ice cream is amazing!
My mom and I decided to go to Doumar’s for lunch. We have heard about Doumar’s for years, and today was our first time eating there. The cheeseburgers and fries were very good. The simplicity of the food is what makes it good. I ordered a Cherry Coke, and it was delicious since they make it themselves. The hot fudge cake was delicious as well. We will return to try some more of their eats and treats.

Has good reputation but now only offers paper plates and cups with flimsy plastic spoons. Real glassware and silverware would help sustain their reputation.

The staff were friendly and the service was super fast. Great place to bring kids. Loved the retro diner feel. The milkshake (chocolate),cheese burger and steak and egg sandwiches were great. The waffle cones are so good as well, they have a hint of banana bread flavor.

One of the better establishments in the area for customer service. Old school 1950s diner. Seating is only on one side of the diner though. Old school, no app, no rewards program. Really more for the atmosphere like similar diners across America; could be bigger this one is small considering the limitations on seating but the food is good. A regular cheeseburger is a hamburger with one slice of cheese. A cheeseburger is two slices of cheese one on each side of the hamburger. It's a little different that way. Not as loud or aggressive flavors as similar drive in concepts though the food is muted so if you want that I'd suggest elsewhere. The limeade is good.

A Norfolk original!!! Best food around!!! Sit inside or have your food brought out to you!! You won't be disappointed!! The split hotdogs on a hamburger bun was freaking delicious!!!

looks run down not vintage. Food had no taste. Zero bbq sauce considering it was a BBQ place. also only had pulled pork sandwiches... with no sauce or flavor.

Food was good but slaw was not
When its the middle of the lunch rush 3 waitresses should not be standing around when there is someone who is sitting at the counter for five minutes waiting to be served.
