There is no place like this! We've been going there for over 30 years. The staff remembers when my girlfriend (now wife) and I went there back in the 80s. The food is delicious! We drive 2-3 hours to get there from Charlottesville a few times a year. It's always worth the trip. Is they were closer I'd eat they every week. Personally, I avoid the hot sauce and double up on the oyster and Mongolian sauces. Visit here, you won't be disappointed.

Went with a large party. They seemed annoyed that we had so many people with us but then got happy once we tipped over their 18% automatic gratuity charge.

We called to make them aware that we were coming with 20 or more people in our party. They weren’t ready for us. No tables set up nothing. Woman’s room was disgusting. A lot of money was spent there by an out-of-town guest not happy.

No pineapple during dinner ?…lousy waiter, make certain you get one of the ladies…been going there 20+ years…not what it used to be…20.00 for a single person w/ only iced tea as beverage. It’s tough for restaurants right now but when server is very bad it makes it that much tougher paying these higher prices the restaurants have to charge .
Update- I’ve been back several times since with other waitstaff giving excellent service and tipped accordingly….but still no pineapple ???
Sunday, the salad bar options were light, but the options on the hibachi were great! ...and of course the sesame bread is always amazing!! I'm stuffed

Delicious food and pleasant staff!
I have been going here for 35 years. I have NEVER worked at a restaurant, or been to a restaurant whose hours state they are open to a certain time, WITH THEIR OPEN SIGN STILL ON and them not serve food till closing. If you can't hold to your hours, then change them!!! You don't shut down before you close and tell people you can't serve them. I understand I showed up at 8:30pm (I worked all day since 6:30am and it was the earliest I could get there), and you close at 9, but that still left me with 30 mins, AND the fact is your listed closing time is 9PM!!! When I walked in, and ask if you were still serving (though your open sign said open), I was told only for to go orders. Though you are a sit down restaurant, and I actually wanted to sit down and wasn't exactly pleased at that, I decided to get what I could with the to go option... only to walk to the grill to get my food and half the stuff was already packed away, which didn't even allow me to get a to go order after all.... and me coming in and attempting to even get a to go order at 8:30 apparently sparked an argument between the cook and the host. Being 8 months pregnant, and having this as a craving, I can't tell you how infuriated I am. Fix your hours, or stay open with food to be served till your hours actually say you close!! After all these negative reviews in the last year about the quality of service, and general attitude towards your customers... I would be quick to start making some changes before you end up another closed down restaurant! You have lost your self a long time customer, bc I will be from here on out going to your competitors.

We've been coming here for decades. They have the *best* hot & sour soup in the world; if you think you don't like hot & sour, you should still ask to try theirs.

Hot sour soup tasted like chicken noodle with no spice at all. Meat was brought out frozen and all the meats and sauces kind of tasted the same. Asked for siracha sauce and they didn’t have it. Several notches below Stir Crazy. Dessert was a couple pieces of day old pound cake cut in pieces. Will not come here again. Believe all the three star and below reviews because they are spot on.
