Easily the best dining experience I've had in Virginia. The cocktails are expertly crafted, the food was flavorful, well thought out, and wonderfully plated. They took special care of us. This is an experience I won't soon forget.
Very disappointed 😞 My husband and I arrived Sunday at 5pm sharp for our reservation. The atmosphere was great. They sat us quickly. The restaurant was empty except for a few guests at the bar. When we looked at the menu, we were really disappointed because the menu was not the same menu that was on the website. It was a smaller version, so we made the necessary accommodations The waitress took our orders . We were hungry so we ordered appetizers at the same time we ordered our meals. The appetizer was Salmon Crudo. It was delicious but it didnt meet our expectations. The Salmon was sliced very thin amd had.smaller pieces than the picture that was on the website. It definitely didnt match what they bought to the table. Needless to say we gulf that tiny plate down very quickly. We were waiting for about 15 min and again we were still hungry so I asked the waitress did they have any bread. She said they had bread but it was a cost. We told her no problem, please bring the bread. We ate the bread and waited again. It took 45 minutes to 50 minutes to get a one plate of Duck and one plate of Smoked Egg Plant. Both dishes tasted good. Our complaint is that it took too long for them to cook and bring our dinner to us. Im not sure why it took that long, because we were the only couple in the restaurant. The worst part of this is, we had finished watching a Play at the Chrysler Hall by 4pm and we chose to wait an hour so we could enjoy a tasty meal. If we had know it would take that long we would have chosen another restaurant. I personally don't think anyone should have to wait that long for a meal especially if the restaurant is not busy. Sorry to say but it wasn't worth the time we had to wait or the money.
A rare balance of ambiance and cuisine, this is a gem for downtown Norfolk. The decor is both museum-quality art and whimsical. The food is fresh and relentlessly original. Sauces and cocktails are worthy of a highly rated chef. Service was effortlessly efficient. Recommended!
This is by far the best restuarant in Norfolk. Chef Ticha is a magician with food. The prawns were the best I have ever had in the USA. All the Food prepared and presented beautifully. I come here without exception when I’m in Norfolk. The bartenders are fabulous as well and create some fabulous cocktails.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal and experience at Glass Light! Our waitress was attentive, food was fresh, portions were healthy and the chef even created a dessert from his home country (South Africa). We look forward to dining here again!
Food was amazing.. Great service and warm hospitality. Chef came out to chat with us and our server, Kristi, was terrific. Top notch across the board. Look forward to a return visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience. Food was inventive, seasonal and delicious. Attentive service and lovely atmosphere.
We visited Glass Light to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We booked the Chef’s Course, which turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Each course was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.
What really set the evening apart was the personal touch — we had the opportunity to talk with the chef and learn more about the inspiration and techniques behind the dishes. The staff made us feel truly celebrated, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming.
From the food to the service to the setting, everything about Glass Light exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of place that turns a special occasion into a lasting memory. Highly recommend!
—Please talk to the valet though as it started us off rough. They were no where to be found and when we did find them they told me to leave my truck on the street running and they will get to it. Doesn’t make sense to me

Ren made our anniversary dinner very special. The food was delicious and the cocktails fantastic! We cannot wait to go again!
Glass Light Restaurant, Hotel and Gallery provided nothing short of an amazing evening. It is truly a one of a kind experience that I didn't know existed until 2 days ago. From the immediate ambiance to being greeted by amazing hosts/servers to the executive chefs personalizing the experience and artistically delicious food, Glass Light would easily be my go to choice every night. The environment is very welcoming and heartfelt, both Chef Ticha and Chef Jeff take time to ensure that this is the overall experience for guests while facilitating a working kitchen, that's impeccable. I enjoyed every moment, every laugh, and every dish. After each first bite all I could say was “Wow!”, throw my hands up in disbelief, and nod my head in agreement that each dish is as delicious as Glass Light intends. I look forward to going back!

The food was excellent and they had a great assortment of choices on their wine list. I highly recommend glass light restaurant.
We brought a good friend from out of town with us and she was very impressed. This remains as the best restaurant in Hampton Roads in our view. We shared three appetizers, two entrees and a desert - all excellent - plus wine of course.
It was my first time here, and it was really amazing 🥰😍.
The amazing food, and the real carrot cake dessert, was spectacular.

Glass Light is the best restaurant in Norfolk especially for a different spin on traditional fare.
