was told 10 min wait actually took an hour to start cooking the waffle. Cashier handled all the money and kept playing with their hair and then palmed peoples drink lids. right on the mouth hole. The cooks run around kitchen like chickens with their heads cut off. entertaining to watch

Disappointed. I'm in Norfolk from Northern Virginia for the day & I decided to try a local spot for breakfast. I figured can't go wrong with chicken & waffles. Sadly mistaken. The cashier & the girl that brought me my food were nice, restaurant looked clean, but it was chilly inside so I decided to take my food to go. The waffle was a tad overcooked, not too flavorful and if I'm not mistaken, those were definitely bagged chicken nuggets that they served me. epic fail. I gave 3 stars only because the food wasn't absolutely disgusting. But they definitely need to step it up! I went to this restaurant because of the high reviews & I'm confused about what were these previous diners eating!?! Because what I had was NOT IT! For $13, this should NOT have been more than $8, $9 bucks tops!

I love the concept, but the savory waffles are a fail. The waffles were soggy, the ingredients were not fresh and the hot sauce had gone bad (tastes like play dough). The sweet waffle, on the other hand was crispy, perfectly structured, and delicious. If you are looking for something sweet and only sweet, it might be okay, but aside from that, there are significantly better places to eat in the area. We were in a group and all of us ended up throwing away 50% of our dishes.

I came to this place at 9 AM and they had just opened. I ordered two servings of scrambled eggs. The service was good, but the eggs were cold. I don’t understand how the eggs can be cold first thing in the morning. They had just opened. I am pregnant and eggs were not made fresh they could make me ill. It hasn’t been long enough for me to be ill yet because I just left. But I am extremely unsatisfied with the food. Why is the food cold? If it is the first batch in the morning? What are they trying to do kill me?

I ordered online for delivery. Not only did my order arrive significantly late due to extended preparation time. My order also arrived incorrect as they sent me a chicken waffle with no chicken. I tried to call them on multiple occasions so they could fix this issue and they refused to answer the phone. The waffle was disgusting without the chicken— not to mention it was soggy.
Interior is decorated with printed GIFs of cats and waffles ( lacking originality). I ordered the chicken & waffle which was basically 2 chicken nuggets and a waffle with an orange powder and powder sugar. I requested no powder however, it still came piwdered ( after a semi lengthy conversation at the register stating I didn't want any powder).

Food is okay if you know what to order. Many of their choices just aren't that appetizing or use low quality food. For instance chicken and waffles but the chicken is frozen nuggets and they put captain crunch power on it by default to add flavor. Let the batter speak for itself.Staff thinks maple syrup and table syrup are the same thing.Service has been slow lately 30+ min wait with only a few groups of customers. Need a kitchen upgrade and faster staff.

At first I left because another customer had a dog near the front and I don’t care to eat around anyone’s pet in a restaurant (M.O.)But I did come back because I wanted to try it for myself. I didn’t care for the egg on top of the waffle, maybe as a side but overall it was deliciously different and MellyMel was super friendly! Made me laugh and I liked his personality! Would definitely come back!

The "Chicken and Waffles" is legitimately the worst excuse for that dish I've ever seen. The chicken in question was frozen nuggets that you can get at Food Lion.
