My first time there and when I walked in, the place was very cute. Small and intimate. When me and the rest of the party were there, the whole time we felt rushed. Then when the food arrived, bowls and hands were all in my face. Just ask if someone can pass the plate to someone. No need to shove a bowl in my face to reach across the table. Some of my friends mentioned that they didn't receive the fishcakes nor the extra egg they asked for. That's extra, so I'm guessing they were charged for that as well. Did they complain to them about it? No. They figured it was a lot of food ordered so it's cool. Then the checks came. Gratuity was added into the price. That's no issue but for all the rushing and "annoyance" my friends felt from the waitress, nah. Nothing extra. You got the tip you added on.

On Friday night, my girlfriend and I decided to hit up the Norfolk colonial location, expecting some spicy ramen and a cozy dining experience. Instead, we walked into what felt like a Michelin-star restaurant for invisible friends. Despite the place being about as packed as my gym on New Year’s Day ( Tumbleweed* ) , they wouldn’t let us sit next to each other at one of their bigger tables, because apparently, those are scared spaces, exclusively reserved for groups of four or more (or maybe imaginary VIP friends that they expect to arrive fashionably late). So, like any self-respecting couple denied the chance to awkwardly slurp noodles in unison while in close proximity. We Left! , but felt as disappointed as a wet cat fresh out the bathtub.
The next day, we licked our paws and shook it off. Discouraged and diminished in spirit but not defeated! We decided to hit up the Kempsville location, which is slightly bigger and, I’m guessing, a bit more chill on table politics? To our surprise, this place was much busier! But couples were sitting at the massive (not really) four-person tables like it was no big deal! It was practically a couples' conference on oversized seating. I think we should’ve brought a PowerPoint presentation on “Why Couples Deserve Big Tables” for the Norfolk location.
Anyway, I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and my girlfriend got the fried chicken ramen. My spicy miso ramen was like a party in my bowl! with just the right amount of heat to make me feel alive but not so much that I had to drink a glass of milk. The broth? So good you could drink it solo, but when I mixed in the egg, bamboo shoots, spicy pork, and everything else, it was a full-blown flavor festival. My girlfriend’s fried chicken ramen was equally divine, with a hearty shoyu chicken broth and a chicken cutlet so crispy, it almost convinced me that fried chicken and soup were soulmates destined to be together forever!
The best part? Both bowls were only about 15 bucks, which means we were full, happy, and only mildly traumatized from the previous night’s table fiasco. All in all, a delicious experience.
Pro Tip: just make sure you’re sitting at a table that won’t make you feel like you’re breaking some secret ancient ramen seating code.

Horrible first time experience, we basically got kicked out for walking in 15 mins before they close. We had a long trip, got in town a bit late and just wanted to get some ramen and go home. The lady was nasty af to us and didn’t want to accommodate us after she seated us. Huffing and puffing in our face and visibly enraged to even speak to us. We got really concerned for our wellbeing and walked straight out. Will never step a foot in this establishment after our experience.

I wish I could say I know what the food tastes like. They got a whole order wrong. Neither doordash nor the restaurant will provide a refund for the inconvenience. I get that people make mistakes, but if so, doordash will tell you you’re out of luck when you spend $60 (obligated to pay $9 for a tip, and $11 to use a very inconvenient service). And you get a $16 item you didn’t order instead, with no refund.

Very mid, the Ramen is not high quality enough for how much it costs. Broth flavors aren't complex, wasn't impressed :
