Third time coming here lol they never fail ‼ in my opinion this is the best ramen place in Norfolk ‼ service is always amazing and food is always great as well ‼ definitely gonna be my go to spot for ramen

We got the pork dumplings, fried mashed potatoes and grilled chicken ramen. It was all verry yummy! My favorite was the dumplings. Price was reasonable. Super clean establishment. Smells great, staff is nice!

Just kind of an awkward place to be.. there was a screaming child next to us which wasn’t the restaurants fault, but then we got our food and the just wasn’t great. And if I’m paying almost $20 for a meal I want to be able to have something that I can’t make at home. It just tasted very meh. Not bad, but not good. There was also not a lot of ramen in the serving. There was 1 egg and SO many wilted bean spouts it kinda grossed me out. The chicken in both mine and my husbands ramen was extremely dry too.

Cozy, casual spot for good ramen! I loved that this place wasn't anything over the top fancy - just a delicious bowl of ramen done right! I stopped by for a weeknight dinner with a friend. The crowd wasn't bad for a Tuesday night and luckily there wasn't a wait. The service was speedy and efficient and our waitress stopped by frequently to check in on us. We ordered the salmon onigiri as a starter. It was nice & warm on the inside but was heavy on the rice. (6/10) My friend ordered the katsu curry plate and loved it! The portions were huge and she had a good amount to take home at the end of our meal. I'm a sucker for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and Kappo Nara's bowl did NOT disappoint! The broth was rich and flavorful, there was a healthy portion of noodles, and the toppings were delicious. (10/10)
I just ate there today, the food was good, was very low key and the service was excellent. Several hours after eating there I started getting stomach cramps, right now I'm incredibly sick and cannot seem to get off the toilet.

RUDE! Idk if she’s the owner but that was very unpleasant experience. Not kid friendly. This rude waiter stood by our table THE WHOLE TIME and stared at us. Gossiped in Mandarin which unfortunately I understood. I don’t look Asian enough to seem to know Pu Tong Hua. The thing is I have been here before with my boys and friends because we wanted to support a small AAPI Business and never had issues. But those times there was only one server who was meh. She is not the friendliest but she isn’t rude but tonight we went with all my kids and my friends’. The kids are 2 yr olds and 3 yr olds. We tried to ask to seat us in the front corner but the server refused then they seated us by the kitchen, and there was this INCREDIBLY rude woman who gave us the dirty look the whole time then turned the music up so loud and giving us the check in the middle of the meal hinting us to leave. The worst thing was they were speaking Mandarin and I understood 100 percent of their gossiping and judgement. They then added the gratuity for 4 people which I asked and the rude woman gave me an attitude and had to look for herself of the very fine print in the menu to show me. Won’t be going back unfortunately.

Don’t waste your time at this location. Our food was as if it had been microwaved, the server was unbelievably rude to us, felt like she was rushing us, and everything was sub par. I swear everything that has a second location in Norfolk sucks. Why?! Drive to the Virginia Beach location and I PROMISE it will be worth it!!! The VB location is our favorite and we have been going for years! I love love love Kappo Nara Ramen and want it to be around forever! The vibes at the VB one are immaculate, the food is always hot and amazing quality, and the service is ALWAYS 100%. They play R&B and they have a Polaroid camera where you can ask to have your picture taken and then tape it on their wall. Everything is perfect there. Go to VB!!! Go go go!!
