Got to visit while picking up the wedding cake for our close friends wedding. We grabbed a variety of croissants for the bridal party and then a couple for us. Almond croissant was spectacular! The staff was amazing and made me feel like family on my first visit. Wedding cakes were a hit all around!

I would get it five stars based on the baguette I got from there, but since they're never open and I've never been able to buy a second one, I have to give it three stars

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Slice of Parisian Heaven in Norfolk! La Brioche isn't just a bakery; it's a transportive experience. From the moment you step through the door, the scent of caramelized sugar and warm butter wraps around you, making you forget you're in Norfolk and believe you've stumbled into a charming boulangerie on a side street in Paris. This spot is, without a doubt, a five-star culinary treasure.
The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and impeccably clean. It's the perfect place for a quiet morning coffee or a weekend treat. What truly sets them apart, though, is the quality of the baking. The brioche itself is transcendent—airy, perfectly golden, and so unbelievably soft it melts in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the pastries! The almond croissant is a masterpiece of flaky layers and rich filling, and the seasonal tarts are always fresh, vibrant, and expertly balanced. Their coffee, too, is the perfect complement, strong and smooth. The service is warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. Whether you're grabbing a loaf to take home or settling in for a luxurious breakfast, the staff treat you like a regular. If you live in or are visiting the Norfolk area, La Brioche is an absolute must-try. Come for the pastries, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with a smile. Five stars, hands down!

I LOVE La Brioche!!! The food was INCREDIBLE, we got a ham and Swiss quiche, raisin bun, apricot pastry, and a baguette to take home. Everything was delicious - the quiche was warm and cheesy with a flaky crust, the raisin bun was so fluffy and melted in your mouth, and my favorite was the apricot pastry with real apricot halves on it. The service was fantastic, the owner gave me her coffee recommendation and also suggested the raisin bun, they were so kind about letting our dog on the patio with us, the guy at the counter was so nice to bring our food out to us so we could watch our dog, and the atmosphere and location are excellent. Definitely want to come back for lunch and to try the wine. 5 stars all around!!!!

Desserts are fresh and delicious, I bought different mini tarts and cakes for a dinner and were a hit!
They just have one size of coffee, cappuccino is delicious, European style with foam, it has two shots of espresso so is perfect for your daily dose of caffeine.
You can also find fresh bread like baguettes and sourdough bread everyday, plain and chocolate croissants, quiches, macarons, and other different French pastries

A friend had purchased three assorted cakes from here and the two out of the three were simply divine. The snickers and blueberry cakes were a rich but delicate sponge, with a silky smooth frosting to both. It truly is a treat to sample Parisian pastries in the 757, but I was a bit disappointed with the dryness to their highly recommended Opéra cake. Personally I wouldn’t have had my friend pay $30 for three tiny cakes we received even if it came from a Michelin starred bakery.

I learned of La Brioche from a friend. I have had so many pleasant experiences with Jackie that add to the long list of reasons of why I continuously return. The staff are exceptional. All of the items are made fresh and in-house. You will not find a better baguette anywhere. I have had croissants, sandwiches, tarts, eclairs, and cappuccinos. The quality of the pastries are second to none.

I love walking to this bakery in the morning and getting their fresh baguette! Their desserts are delicious as well, my favorite is the fig torte. Their apricot bake is amazing also know as “abricotine”. The owner is French making this a very authentic experience. I cannot recommend this enough!

Every single time we are here we are always impressed by the cleanliness of the store and politeness of staff- second only to the quality of the desserts. We’ve tried most everything and you taste actual flavors, crafted bakes, and true quality. Edible art! We drive 2.5 hours just for this bakery every year and it’s always worth it! This year they were out of strawberry tarts when we arrived and they made one just for my husband. We will be back every year!

I had a friend tell me about this little bakery which I have been in search for one since the closure of May’s Parlor.

Today was my first time. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino, a brie fold over, and vanilla eclair for my snack while I read my book. The pastries are so buttery and flaky to perfection. I decided to order croissants, a baguette, and another eclair for later. Well, much to my surprise, one of my dogs decided to taste test the entire loaf before I did.

I called La Brioche but hung up after a few rings. The owner promptly called me back. I inquired if she had anymore baguettes left and she said yes. I drove all the way from Chesapeake. As soon as I walked in, I noticed there weren’t anymore left. Turns out, the owner set it aside for me as soon as I called.

To summarize, not only are the food and drinks authentic, the Parisian owners are incredibly kind and provide amazing service.

I can’t wait to come back and try more treats!
