I was looking for tacos in Norfolk because it was a good stopping point on our way to the outer banks. The reviews and pics had me hooked. I got to their website and it says they serve Cali-Mex and I lost it! I was so pumped; beyond jazzed! The fact that its in a mall did not deter me at all. The pics look great and the ingredients were fresh, but the flavors weren't really there and I was SO disappointed. I'm a Cali girl through and through. You know the meme about 5 things Californians love to do that includes talking about how good Cali tacos and trash talking other people's tacos? Yea, that's me all day! I ordered the Mexico City (al pastor) tacos and carne asada fries. The tacos were colorless and bland yall. The vibrant red from the pepper marinade that normally comes with al pastor was missing and so was the flavor. More of the same with the carne asada. The typical lime, herbs, and spice flavors weren't there. No tea, no shade. I've had better carne asada at Chipotle. The saving grace was the toppings, including the spicy cheese sauce. All these people (4-5 star reviewers) can't be wrong, right? Maybe it was an off day for seasoning. Maybe I'm a taco snob

Believe it or not, this Mexican joint in MacArthur Center Mall is legitimately excellent. I wish they were located somewhere else but the food is very good.

Closest to Cali flavor you will get here in VA. If you get the Juan burrito and tell them to leave out the rice, beans, sour cream and cheese...it's REALLY close to a California carne asada burrito!

Never noticed this place. This was my first time trying it and it was delicious, the chimichanga can feed 2 people, totally recommend the Carne asada fríes. If you are from the west coast and miss all the yummy food, this place can satisfy your craving, my friend had the burrito and it was as big as her head so delicious. And the staff is so friendly. Do expect to pay for good food. It's a little on the pricey side it worth it

When I read the reviews on here, I was a little skeptical since this was in a mall food court, but this is the real deal. Great carnitas tacos, authentic and stuffed with meat. Definitely recommend if you're looking for some good authentic Mexican food!

Don't let the location of this place fool you - it's the real deal!!! I've always had nothing short of great quality Mexican food, whether it was their tacos or their burritos, for a fair price and minimal wait time!! My favorite thing to order is their carne asada taqueria tacos - served on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. A little lime and salt on top and it's perfect!!! I also really like their fajita burrito with carne asada as well. The meat portion is generous and always really juicy! You can't go wrong with good Mexican for mall food when you other options are Burger King and pizza.

So the “Burrito Tejano” was amazing. It taste so good and got me full.Totally recommend this place,I’m from Mexico and it made feel right at home and also the horchata taste exactly How it’s suppose to taste, very Mexican.

Food was really good. Place looked really clean. I took a star because the young cashier could have done a little better hiding his agitation when asked for salsa. But overall I’m pleased. You don’t get food that taste this good in a food court.

The food was good but our cashier, Jay, was the star! We went for dinner on May 1st and Jay had an incredible personality. Very polite, friendly young man! I left a message to have the manager call me so I could tell him but no response. I was very impressed with this young man as management should be as well!

This food was freaking delicious. Usually when I eat food outside my kitchen, I need 3 meals a day to feel content but eating here I had to force myself to eat a 2nd meal. Clearly good ingredients and fresh preparation.
