LeGrand is the crown jewel of dining options in Norfolk. LeGrand would stand out in any city in the world. Steve Marsh is a true master chef. Everything he makes is spectacular. For appetizers, try the grilled cabbage and the pimento. The entrees change seasonally, but my personal favorites are the lamb and steak dishes. If nothing jumps off the menu at you, order “The Burger.” It’s the best burger you’ll ever eat.Special off-menu tip for vegetarians: Just ask to have Chef Steve make you something delicious and point out some items from the menu that sound good to you, like the grits or gnocchi, and Steve will make you a magnificent feast.

It’s rare that I can visit with my schedule, but we made it work one evening.Pictured is their postcard bar, us cheering our drinks, and the pork belly with slivered almonds and cherry. We rounded off our meal with some burgers, of course!

Great fare prepared by chefs who really care about their craft and your experience! The staff were friendly, professional, and prompt to take care of anything you needed.The by-the-glass wine selection left no gaps vs the menu offerings…there was something to pair with every dish.Try the pork belly app! It is shareable and amazing! Below is a pic of the Chop Entree…yeah, I went for double pork that evening…not at all disappointed with that choice! ?Vegetarian options: A small, but very good set of veg options are available in every section of the menu. The chefs have made a clear indication that they support plant-based options by offering high quality choices.Parking: There are a small number of spots to park around back…if those are occupied you should be able to find a spot someplace nearby.
We were really really pleasantly surprised with how good everything came out. The 4 of us shared 3 apps and 3 entrees and they were each creatively done and super tasty.

I’ve been going to this place for about 9 years and it never disappoints. From the service to the food to the atmosphere everything is perfect. Hope to be going here for another 9 years at least. Do yourself a favor and try this place if you haven’t already.

The small quaint place has a romantic atmosphere. Although, the food choices were very limited. The burger was very basic with no side to pair with it. For a mediocre dish, it wasn't worth the value. The two deserts we ordered were tasty. But here again, not worth what they were charging. They try to portray this place as posh and a high end establishment with their fancy descriptions of their dishes and high prices. But when you serve a soda by giving the can and a glass of ice to pour for yourselves doesn't come across as the image of classy. Leaving us disappointed.Parking: Located behind the restaurant. Aprox 12 parking spacesKid-friendliness: Not a place to take kidsWheelchair accessibility: Narrow entrance hall. Small restaurant. May make it difficult to maneuver around.
