The service was good the wait time was good the food was garbage I already knew when I open the tray and seen turkey gravy on the pork chops it was a done deal the collards ain’t have no season no taste the Mac and cheese was good nice and creamy my 1st and only time I never write reviews I usually would try to add a little bit of my own seasons to make it to my taste if I don’t like something I scrapped the turkey gravy off and all of the breading come off with it add my own brown gravy and it was still horrible put a little more effort in your cooking and you’ll achieve greatness I’m a chef myself and I don’t down play anybody you have potential just need to use it don’t take this as a shot against you just as a way of tighten up in those areas you lack and you got it but I had my mouth set for that pork chop dinner and was highly disappointed

Listen…. I’m so mad I just discovered them on DoorDash. Everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh. One of the best soul food places around. Will be going back 10/10!

Order chicken it taste like it was cooked in old grease ordered a specialize cheese steak completely different from what I ordered was only meat and cheese will not return

Service was good guy at the counter was cool & patient( the owner did bring the food out she seemed pleasant) order came out pretty fast I ordered porkchops ( smothered) yams, & mac n cheese , and the meal comes with a banging square of sweet cornbread , & sweet tea . The pork chops were cooked nice but wasn't super seasoned ,the gravy was light & have a different taste ( but good) yams were ok , & mac & cheese also basic. The atmosphere is honestly more of the hole in the wall ,but quaint at the same time. I'd probably give it another shot and try different entree and sides it's definitely worth checking out . IT also seems to be more of a grab and go ,pickup ,or doordash type place but does have nice TVs and seating for a few 2 or 3 person type seating.

Ok Lil Mamma's is in Porthsmouth off Porthsmouth Blvd. One of the reviews said it was a hidden gem and it truly is. Awesome food!!. Been to alot of places and this hits. Small establishments. You can eat there or take it to go. May seat about 12-15 people but that's cool..Had pork chops and sausage dinner and both were great. You have to wait but it is so worth it. I read some reviews but I went for myself and I am glad I did. Wish people would not expect a 5 star appeal from a small family business it's not right. I will come here always and hope they never close. I will travel for good food and I live in Norfolk. Customer service is good not a problem from me. It is a must try establishment. Thank you.

Man this place is all that. I ordered the pork chop platter and fries and omg it was on point. Very well seasoned and the customer service was on point. I will come back I promised that.

The food was ok. It lacked seasoning. The turkey wing was seasoned, but I only got one. I got turkey wing dinner with mac and yams. Yams weren't flavorful and wasn't really that sweet. I was okay with that, the sauce was only on the top. I got the fried wing dinner with greens and mac. The greens were tender but bland. I added some complete seasoning to it when I got home and it popped. I also got the lemonade, sweet tea, and fruit punch. The lemonade was a bit tart but GOOD. The sweet tea tasted like the 4C tea mix. The fruit punch was kool-aid, but it brought back some core childhood memories. I spent $50, that included a $6.53 tip.

Seasoned to perfection!!!! I ordered the grill pork chop dinner with collards and yams…Mann…. I wish I had a before picture, but all I have is an after! Food was hot and delicious! I could eat another plate! Service was on point! Will be back again and again!

Baaaby let me tell you something! This is a small mom and pop spot that is ON POINT. I drove 30 min to check them out and they did NOT disappoint!

I got 3 meals and 2 extra sides and spent less then $60.

The customer service is PHENOMENAL

The portion sizes are great!

The fried chicken is crispy and flavorful.

I ordered fried chicken rice nd gravy and the potato salad the chicken tasted funny the wings were small I didn’t eat the rice was hard and not edible. I also ordered a red velvet cake cake was dry and not moist at all will not be returning.

everything was good except the fish. the fish was so hard that I couldn't eat it
