Sadly this place seems to be going downhill. It used to be great, but the staff seem miserable, the food is sloppy and it’s lacking that magic it once had. This is the second time we’ve visited in more recent days and have been underwhelmed. Hope to see it return to its former glory soon.

Good, flavorful food with trendy atmosphere and attentive staff. We tried the habanero shrimp tacos and the brisket tacos. They did not shy away from spice.
Seated immediately without reservation on a Saturday but we got there early. The place was full by the time we left.

I hate leaving this review bc I love Ghent so much and have given LM so many chances but enough is enough. Such terrible service. Arrived at 6p and drinks were served at 6:40p. Server gave excuse after excuse but was all over the pace

The food was good, but not amazing. The chips and salsa tasted like something I could’ve bought at Target nothing special. I expected a hearty, fully wrapped burrito smothered in salsa, but what I got felt more like an “artisan” chicken wrap wannabe. The flavors were decent, but if you’re looking for a real burrito and chips, I’d suggest finding a hole-in-the-wall spot or heading back to San Diego.

I tried my sister’s food as a test since I could tell based on how the food looked that it was going to be bland. It was bland. The drinks were strong and the staff were fast & nice but the place is overpriced for the quality of food. The place looks cool so it’s great for photos, not great if you’re trying to eat food. It’s a money grab tailored to non-latinos. Go anywhere else unless you’re just in it for a photo op.
Love Luna Maya! One of the best restaurant atmospheres in the whole Hampton Roads area. The portions are a great size for the average to high costs. The last time I went, I had requested we sit in the back room because it’s my favorite, and they were so accommodating. I also would just come here for some tequila and that HUGE slice of rum cake. I gladly ate that whole thing, and I look forward to doing it again. Don’t sleep on the rum cake…

We go to Luna Maya at least once a month. And as vegetarians you have several options to choose from. This is the place you go when your group has mixed diets, theres something for everyone. We've all had that conversation when nobody knows what they want to eat but everyone is hungry....just go to Luna Maya...

Excellent, authentic Mexican. Lots of vegetarian options as well as traditional meat dishes. Wide range of original Margaritas with top shelf tequilas. Waiter was attentive, helpful and pleasant. Space is busy and a little loud but manageable. Highly recommend.
