Met my friend here for studying and brunch. We studied for 3 hours (9a-12pm), each bought coffee and food, tipped. We went outside for a less than 5 minute break to check on our cars. Come back inside and our things were thrown in a box on the ground for us to pick up. Mind you, we did not do anything that would warrant us being treated like that as paying customers. I will never return nor recommend it. Feeling devastated and heartbroken at being treated like dirt. Shame on them- it’s a beautiful cafe with excellent food but unfortunately dehumanizing service.
UPDATE: Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to write a response. We did post on our social medias but what others have messaged is on their own accord. For any emotional distress it may have caused you, I do apologize. Once again, had someone come up to us and asked us to leave, we would have happily done so. Had someone given us a respectful explanation, as you have done so, we would have understood..

Food is great, but you all have to do something about all the people with laptops taking up space in the coffee shop. We had to get “to go” since there was no seating.

The atmosphere and service was very exceptional. However, it would have been a plus if the food and coffee met that standard as well. The coffee was mediocre and they were out of most of the items they offer on the menu and they do not serve bagels. How are you an indie cafe that does not serve bagels. Just some food for thought keeping in mind that one coffee is six dollars.

There are so many better coffee shops in the area, and I regret not going elsewhere. The only pro to this place was that it was relatively cheap, but even that couldn’t make up for the experience.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience here. The barista was rude and smug, making the whole atmosphere feel unwelcoming. When I asked about their featured roast, they couldn't even explain it, which was surprising given how much they seemed to pride themselves on being coffee experts. To top it off, the espresso I ordered was weak and bland, lacking any of the depth or flavor you'd expect from a place that takes itself this seriously. Definitely not worth the hype or the attitude.

Super cool place. The service was outstanding. I ordered the Liege Waffle Sandwich, which they said would take a bit to come out (they were very busy). I wanted to walk around outside, so they were kind enough to text me when ready and make my Cappuccino fresh when food was ready. The coffee was great. This is why I like local shops that love coffee as much as me. The sandwich was otherworldly. A bit messy in my car (next time I’ll eat in with knife and fork), but the best tasting sandwich I’ve had in forever. This will definitely be one of my go-to coffee shops in future. Highly recommend.

Yooo I had an oatmilk vanilla latte with some cinnamon powder on it Sunday afternoon. It was one of the best I've ever had. Their vanilla syrup tasted homemade & was delicious. I couldn't stop thinking about how good it was and went Monday, but unfortunately they are closed until Thursday. I was sad over that, but I definitely will be back.

Not worth it at all, surprisingly misled by good reviews. Place is cute but that’s it. Weird flavored drinks- we got the peachy spice latte & lime pistachio latte, neither of them were anything special. The breakfast sandwhich was ok but the pomegranate french toast was bland. We saw a lot of good items online but looks like their menu constantly changes so it may be hit or miss. Really small menu. We took a few bites & sips of our drinks then left for another cafe. $45 down the drain

Response to owner: Naw definitely weird. It was pretty bad??‍♀️ but i’ll change my rating from 1 to 1.5 for the effort in your response

Favorite coffee shop that I visited in Norfolk! They use local beans and the coffee was made with care. They use house made syrups and their vanilla oat milk latte was so good I came back and got it a second time. Drip coffee comes with a free refill. They have a limited food menu with unique items that were all very good. We tried the banh mi and liege waffle and both were hot, fresh, and delicious! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the place itself is cute and quaint. Employees are friendly and service was great. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Norfolk!

Parking: Street parking surrounding the coffee shop, not always a ton available

I had really high expectations for this place. I heard really great reviews, but my experience was not great.

I'll begin with the good. Place was beautiful, and the vibes were right. Drinks were good. Absolutely loved the Pineapple Jasmine tea. For food we ordered the Brioche French Toast with fresh fruit. I've attached my food. It was scorched black all over then topped with powdered sugar and served as if it was not. And when this was mentioned to the gentleman who came from the back his only reply was "okay" and he cleared the table. Nothing else was said.

So glad we gave this place a second chance since we weren't super happy with our first visit.

This time everything was exceptional. Amazing food and cafe and we really like the atmosphere. Feels like having a cozy breakfast while sitting at home.

We will definitely come back.

Thorough. Omg. The food is unbelievable, I was so pleased with the entire experience, highly recommend. My husband is very critical, yet he was impressed with the quality of the coffee and food. It's clean, the people who work there have such wholesome respectful vibes. They got it right for sure, and it's a hidden gem.
