I have eaten in galleys all over the world. This might be least pleasant galley experience. The entire building inside and out smells like sewage. You might have better results eating on the ship.

The food here is worst then a level 2 brig, prisoners eat better than sailors.

I recently had a chance to dine at the Naval Station Galley and overall it was a good experience. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and patient as this was the first time I had been there and I was not familiar with a lot of the protocols.
The food was good not great. Well to be fair some of it was great and some was just okay, so it averages out to good. You definitely can't beat the value though and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
The atmosphere was a little odd. The place felt very old, which is not necessarily a bad thing but it could definitely use a refresh. However the only thing I didn't understand was why it was so dark. The lighting in the seating area was very dim, I don't know if this is an aesthetic choice or just a power saving measure, but it just gave the place a weird vibe.
Overall I was happy with everything though and would eat here again given the chance.

The hours change randomly, they open late close early, and just for shits and giggles they’ll decide they’re not serving breakfast every now and again

Extremely poor quality food, rude staff, and the entire place is frigid. On top of all that, dinner hours are literally in the middle of the work day

Small portions, limited variety, stale food. Closed most hours and kicks everyone out at 4:30pm.

Service was rude, 50% of their food labels were wrong then they gave you attitude if you asked what it was. The register attendant was on the cell phone and had me waiting for a few minutes before helping me.
The food was galley food and is what you would expect for $6. The seating was nice.

Nice and affordable food, well trained staff, and I'm particularly struck by the consistent cleanliness of this place. So much peace. Kudos on that!5☆z

It's hit or miss. Lately, it has been a miss. I went through 4 moldy avocados before I gave up and the espresso machine is either out of beans or out of milk. Staff just sits and plays on their phones in the closed off eating area.
This places needs some leadership, supervision, and pride in their work.

This galley makes me miss highschool food. The food is the worst I’ve ever eaten. I can’t even swallow the chicken without a drink of water after each bite.
