Awesome experience and the food was magnificent. This is our second time and we enjoyed it just as much as the first.
The food took quite a while to come out, even though there were only a few other tables seated at the time. The Oysters Rockefeller presentation was disappointing — very little cheese and no seasoning. However, the Country Caesar Salad was enjoyable and worth the value. My main entrée was described as one of their more popular dishes, but I found the presentation and overall execution lacking.
The freshest seafood, beat service, great dinner combos—-a hidden gem that deserves all the accolades.
The food was very flavorful and fresh. I had gumbo and my wife had the salmon with crab meat on top. Both entrees were huge and we had leftovers. The Oysters Rockefeller was amazing as well.
Great service and great food, not much else left to say. Probably the best seafood jambalaya I've ever had and I travel a lot.
We cannot begin to express how incredible our experience was on the evening of 9/19/25. This was not the first time at Norfolk Seafood Co., and we loved it again this time as well. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by several hosts/hostesses. It was an early dinner since we were going to a show at the Wells' theater and had a private dining room playing soft jazz music. Our waitress Cerea was so polite, friendly, prompt, and delightful. We ordered blackened salmon and the filet. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted impeccable. We asked Cerea to send our compliments to the chef. We will definitely return to Norfolk Seafood, and highly recommend anyone to try this gem when in the area.
My group came into this restaurant on a Saturday night to celebrate a graduation. I made a last minute reservation and we were walked to our table immediately on entry. We sat on the bottom floor there are 2 levels. We were immediately greeted by the server to get our drinks in. We didn't order any appetizers. Once we got our drinks, we were then given a cornbread as an appetizer and placed our food orders. We ordered the fried catfish, scallops and pork belly, whole fish, seafood, cob salad, and shrimp with fries. All the food was absolutely delicious mostly the collard greens that had a lemon acidity which was new for me but was good. It was a little pricey but the food was 10/10.
I loved everything about my birthday dinner food was great I got salmon. Other people in my party got the catfish and greens 10/10. Also my drink was amazing passion fruit it was great. They also were playing great music. Also it was priced great.
Very fun place. Happy hour every day!! We sat downstairs. Friendly staff. Our bartender was wonderful. Great indoor space. The food was excellent. The drinks were great. Nice atmosphere. Not hat policy, so you can keep it off at the table or hang it up. Definitely be back.

Very good food. Cool part of town. The downstairs bar area was packed and has a completely different feel than the main floor. The main floor was more contemporary and less warm.

No 5 stars because happy hour deals are only available at the bar.... even though there were now available seats. Had the Peri Peri Chicken Penne pasta and it was delicious and corn muffins were a fantastic treat! Amazing service, waiter was 5 stars!

This is my favorite place to eat in Norfolk. The service is a bit slow at times but the food is delicious and the seafood is FRESH. They also have a great house red that I am obsessed with. Their fried oysters are some of the best in the land and I don't even like fried foods like that. The wait staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is a vibe (to be clear, upstairs is romantic and downstairs is a vibe). If they were a bit less expensive, I'd probably be here every week.
