Norfolk Seafood Company & Oyster Bar

Had the half order of Oyster Rockefeller, the Surf and Turf special which was a WHOLE ribeye, 2 prawns, half lobster tail, serving of asparagus and generous bed of mashed potatoes with red chimmichurri. Had a Negroni as my drink with some homemade cornbread with butter. The food was phenomenal. Yes, you might spend some money, but when you want a full meal and are willing to pay for actual QUALITY, this is hands down the nicest restaurant ive been to so far and my bartender/waitress was genuinely such a nice woman. The ambiance was relaxing and definitely sets a mood. Would 100% recommend and would go back many times over. Delicious.

Found this place searching for a place for a group of friends with varied tastes, with an option for Oysters a must for one. This place met all requirements and everyone left happy!

We were a group of seven and selections were varied including hot honey brussels, she crab soup, clam chowder, oysters (raw), crab cocktail (served in a way that let you decide how to eat it), flounder, scallops & pork belly, and crab cakes. Dinner included the cutest (and delicious) corn bread muffins.

The restaurant has a warm and intimate feel, with multiple levels. Service was friendly and attentive. It would be a great option for a date night or special event.

Highly recommend and would go back if I'm ever in the area again.

This place is a hidden gem. We loved the atmosphere and the ambience. It’s truly a vibe and a wonderful date night idea.

I always sit at the downstairs bar and go for happy hour. the drinks are always amazing! they shuck the oysters in front of you which is a nice touch. love this place 10/10! ambiance is nice also

We were seated downstairs, and it was a little to dark. We had one server for a 3 table group. Foods was delicious I had the Browned Butter Flounder.

First off the amazing Ashley’s x 2 service is beyond awesome. I think it would have to be the best service ever. Big call but she was amazing, knew the menu and was super professional. Food was amazing. And did I mention Ashley x 2 were the best servers. I have met.

The ambiance is great, very upscale feel even in a small space. A central fireplace is there but not used. It’s Sunday evening very empty as I can see people are getting ready for the week. But hostess was polite when I told her I had reservation but am tad early and she even confirmed for one. The server was polite. She took my order of iced water and came out with a small corn muffin served with warm butter.the corn muffin is good not dry.
The oyster Rockefeller came out. $17 for 6 oysters. There were only 2 plump oysters, rest were tiny and overcooked. I’d say 2 out of 5. Wish they made it more upscale by using grated Parmesan instead of packaged shredded cheese, it takes away from the upscale feel.
The salmon with crab cake came out super salty. Def 2 out of 5.

Overall a good experience. I do wish they did not force you to sit at the bar to get the happy hour specials. That was silly to me. The food was not cheap but it felt high quality. The atmosphere is very nice. I liked it and would likely come back

Wonderful Date night! Delicious seafood, great service. We will definitely be back because there are more things we want to try on the menu. Highly recommend.
