Ocean Blue Seafood Restaurant

Comparing to other fried crab spots in the area- first, they are clean inside! Immediately I am comparing to Ts seafood and a few others that are kinda scary inside!

No dirty floors, walls or ceilings. The fried crabs were delicious - fried with perfect amount of batter not over done- not super oily and flavored so well- tiny bit of spice. The crabs themselves were meaty and fresh!

The ladies in the front were pleasant and kind. I will be going back. Even my son who doesn’t usually eat these really enjoyed!!!!

I had my dog in the car so when my order was ready, my food was bought to my car.

I'm a fisherman in the area so I may have a slightly higher standard but with that being said I thought that flounder fish had a size limit on them in VA. I guess not. I was served what must have been a 10 inch fish from the start with head and tail. After removing the head and tail they served me a over cooked dry 6 inch flounder filet. Worst tasting 🤢 fish I ever had. I mean I have literally had better tasting fish sticks.

The fried crabs were super small, when they were supposed to be #1 males...they were females and the batter wasn't done

I got a dozen of female crabs for $26. I got home an most of them were mushy and had a really bad green odor coming from them. The taste was horrible seem like they gave me some old crabs not fresh ones. $26 is way to much for it not to be fresh! Will not be back

I ordered the shrimp and fish dinner with french fries and sweet corn. 🤮🤢

Assessment
1. The fish were small, wasn't seasoned & fried to hard.

2. The shrimp was more of a popcorn shrimp, okay, but WILL NOT order again.

3. The French fries were fried too hard and very greasy.

4. The corn was tasteless. Sweet should be immediately removed from the description on the menu.

5. The restaurant appears clean. The owners were not welcoming nor rude.

If I could rate this place, it would be a negative 1.

Food was ok. I ordered the shrimp lunch. I was expecting a crunchy fried shrimp with regular seafood breading, but received crab battered shrimp that were soggy and doughy. I removed the breader and ate the shrimp. With no problem. I will try again if there are other options for breading

The butter and pepper crabs were delicious. The soft shell crab was not good.
Friendly and fast. I will stop by again.

Quick and simple Seafood spot with fantastic blue crabs !! Every time i visit VA from S.C. I go here for my Crab fix.

Do your stomach a big favor and stay away from this place. Worst seafood my fiancée and I have ever been served. We both threw away most of our take out meals.

Joint was jumpin. Down and dirty fried seafood. Not over the top but not bad either. Slaw was bland same for cocktail sauce. Tartar was in packets. Servings were ample. But if your looking for fresh seafood it may not be for you other than the crabs which I don't eat. They were flying out the door.. she got two fried crabs but didn't know how to eat them.
