Celebrated our son’s Birthday at Omar’s Carriage House on Sunday for an amazing Brunch! Our table was upstairs which is a very pretty area. Our Server did a great job constantly going up and downstairs! The food was delicious and still hot and amazing! I had the Vegetable Omelet. Others enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles, Eggs Benedict, and the Turkey Croissant. Service was great, food was delicious and it was wonderful to be together in such a nice place! So quaint and had a great welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.

This is a hidden gem in Norfolk. The food is always fantastic. The service is beyond professional. And the atmosphere is cozy. We just had another fabulous meal of tender lamb and tasty rockfish with excellent service from Morgan. I highly recommend

Ambiance and service definitely 5 stars. The server Brayden was super friendly and attentive. When you enter the restaurant it’s packed with delicious waft of food flowing from the kitchen and dining area packed with patrons on a Friday night. The menu has a good variety of choices from different proteins (lamb, steak, chicken, scallops, salmon, etc) to grains (couscous, risotto,etc). I ordered the lamb shank. While it has a lot of different spices, it lacked that basic pinch of salt. The portion was huge but it had way too much of the couscous. Thd strawberry (short)cake was typical so not worth the price.

Omar's Carriage House catered our wedding; Thomas and his crew did an outstanding job. Though they had not served in our specific venue, from the moment they got there, the operation felt professional. Staff was courteous and even made friends with our guests. Changes/setups occurred smoothly, nothing was missing, and the food was incredible (vegan gnocchi, marsala, spinach: all excellent). Planning was a breeze and everyone was responsive; price felt entirely appropriate. We will visit your restaurant location soon!

Here the portions were just right and I was able to try all appetizers and entries I wanted. The food itself had lots of thought and care put into it. Not only did a taste amazing you could tell it was high quality as well. For 4 appetizers, 2 entries and 2 desserts, We payed 140$. which is reasonable for the amount we ordered (including a daily special). Location was also cute and we were able to walk to the water afterwards. would highly recommend this place especially the duck tacos!!!!

I found it equally delightful to eat and enjoy their patio.
Go for Moroccan Monday and get the sampler, the lamb tagine, and bastilla. Finish off with any of Marilyn's desserts and taste the love in them!
They also offer mocktails, which is always appreciated.
The wait staff was lovely and we couldn't have asked for a better meal and experience.

Jon was fantastic—he crafted a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned and also made a refreshing berry mojito mocktail that really hit the spot.
I visited during Restaurant Week and was genuinely impressed by the experience.
To start, I sampled the shrimp sriracha dish. While it only came with three shrimp, the flavor was excellent and the fresh watermelon added a nice touch. I also tried the fried green tomatoes, which were beautifully paired with a well-executed balsamic reduction and crisp arugula.
For the main courses, the chili crisp shrimp noodles stood out with a satisfying level of spice—not overwhelming, but enough to make an impression. The hanger steak and frites were cooked well and full of flavor. As for dessert, the key lime pie was light, fresh, and elegantly plated—but the real standout was the strawberry shortcake, which stole the show.
Overall, a delightful experience with thoughtful flavors and great service.
