My Family and I were on vacation from Florida and we stopped into this restaurant and we were blown away! The food was made to order so everything was hot and fresh, flavorful and oh so delightful! The owner was very helpful and courteous and ensured our experience was great! We will return on our next visit. 10/10 highly recommend

No need for whomever to respond to this that can't take criticism lightly.. BTW no one cares about a camera check but police for crimes ?? ??. That this restaurant has criminally committed!! To whomever may reponse to this obviously can't see validation with doing better to reponse for quality and professionalism! Although if you'd like to reponse to any. ""FOR THE People ""Please do better!! make it know to customers of your in house policy about remaking food!! Especially when you want a customer to repay more money for food not given from the beginning!! We didn't catch closing hours. Yet ordered chicken sandwich and fries around 520pm. CALL next day was told that the restaurant wasn't remaking of our food because in house policy. Also that food made was in the refrigerator was available to pick up Cold. That is not posted to inform customers. We agreed and thanked them for holding our food but we asked for a remake .( Cause who wants cold fry food??) and wanted an additional chicken and sandwich with fries. to then be told that that the Chef/Owner wouldn't make any exception to the order to be remade. The Lady also claimed that the staff waited on us in the parking lot. To return for our food.. again we didn't know their time closing was at 6pm. Our fault for not knowing right!+ Yet timing at this establishment varies on their occasion. So the lady also tells us if we wanted the chicken sandwich still that we would be up charged in addition of $6 for the original with the addition meal. Because this day was $6.00 special for chicken sandwich ?? So to the Chef/Owner . Of my 26 years as a chef and owner of my own establishment. I have never heard the utmost but hopefully you all will changed this in-house policy. so you won't lose any more money from potential customers that don't mind featuring in eating good food whatever the cost!!

Lady at the front had a poor attitude and didn’t seem to want to be helpful at all. Fish had the bones in it not a fan of picking all that out. Also very surprised a “soul food” place doesn’t serve rice. It seemed extremely dead but somehow they were out of one of their sides.*edit to owner responseLet’s be honest a “proper greeting” would have been “good afternoon how may I help you today?” So maybe that’s something the owner should reevaluate. Her telling us she is out of a side and not suggesting a replacement is not good service. I got bad vibes from her from her tone and it wasn’t even directed at me. That should say enough. I was trying to be polite but to be honest 70% of the plate got thrown into the trash. Since you’re “so busy” that you’re out of something not even 2hrs after opening (not prepared) maybe your back of house needs to be taught more than how to remove bones from your fish.

First time dining at this seafood spot, Came for the lobster Grilled cheese but got here too late, they had already sold out by 3pm so I Opted for the seafood basket for a very reasonable price of 21 Dollars.It included 3 fish strips, clam strips, crab balls, shrimp, hushpuppies, and old bay fries.Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly ?You can tell that their fish is sitting in a marinade over night before they batter and fry it. Very full of flavor!There was so much more on the menu that I wanna try that. I'll be back very soon.If you were on the fence for this spot, get off of the fence, run down there and get you some home style cookin that you can tell a lot of love ❤️ went into. You won't be disappointed !!

For my 1st visit coming from Maryland is have to say I will visit each time I visit this area. True cooking to order actual large shrimp great fried fish even the fries were good my son loved them . My wife and I drove all the way from Portsmouth to try the place. We ordered over $40 in food, so I tried to pay for my order with $100 dollar bill, only for them to tell us we're sorry but we don't accept bills over $20. WFT are you serious! 7-ELEVEN can give me change for $100 but a so called food restaurant can't ?.So we just walked out and will definitely not be returning! Ridiculous
