Pollard's Chicken at Tidewater (Norfolk)

Chicken is good for the most part. There are days when it's tough and seems as though it was thrown in the microwave. The sides are very hit and miss. The fried apples have gotten so bad they are almost inedible, and the mac and cheese is very hit and miss. Customer service isn't the greatest. You come in, and its like you're interrupting their phone time. Especially the young cashier at the front, I even told her to have a great day and she ignored me and back to the phone she went. I wasn't going to eat inside anyways but all their chairs were stacked on the table where you couldn't sit down

This nasty place needs to be shut down Maggots and flys everywhere! Food is barely cooked well and the managers there don’t care about anything but their phones, parked my car next to a abundant amount of maggots and what it looks like grease, I’m just asking for the health department or someone shut that store down

We visited this restaurant primarily for their delicious desserts. They have a scrumptious coconut cake. I would advise not to visit an hour before closing as they secure the back area and they are stern about it. We had an active toddler that was walking around as we waited and a staff member approached us to remind us it was closed. We were not sitting, but the toddler neede to walk around a bit. This establishment is not kid friendly, as noted by a single high chair that needed to be wiped down.
The chicken is nice and crispy and the puffs are fluffy.
Stop by if you ever need to order a full cake they have been able to do this for me before.

Usually eat at the one on tidewater drive but was closer to this sorry place . Ordered a. Chicken sandwich combo and got a chicken sandwich- no lettuce, tomatoes, cheese or anything else.
When I go to the one on tidewater dr. They ask not to mention that sandwich was warm - not hot and so where the fries.
Low quality service- definitely not a Pollards i would go to again.

I got the Fried Gizzards dinner and it was good. But it is the one dinner that came with no sides. Maybe because it was a large sizes.

Their food is prepared to perfection. Try their tenders. Juicey and crispy.

I'm a huge chicken fan and Pollard's has the best for many miles. Great sides are a definite hit every time. Be certain to get a piece of cake to finish off the perfect meal.

The day I was there there wasn't any other customers inside, so I don't know about the atmosphere the food is cooked really well but the reason I don't have more stars is that for the price the servings are way too small in my opinion. Everything else there send okay to me but my order was to go. They were very friendly.

Frequent this location regularly and I’ve seen it go from sugar to (well you know what) the greens, green beans are so full of salt and the chicken when you bite it you can tell it might’ve been bruised or over frozen I’m done with this place

Omg. First off, the uber eats app said it was ready for pick up, it wasn’t. Not only have I been waiting for over 35min for a pick up order manager was terrible and so slow the two men in the back looked to be having more fun than cooking. The girl at the front was rude and her attitude stunk up the whole room. I wouldn’t not recommend this location.

After sitting waiting for a whole hour without ANY acknowledgement, I go up again to ask about my order and the lil girl didn’t even submit it. So I waited for literally NOTHING. Lil girl Playing on her phone whole time tho.

I love Pollards .. they've been a staple here in this area for many years. They've not fixed what wasn't broken. They are the best place for livers & gizzards left some town. Friendly & fast service in this location. Clean & not too busy the day that I stopped in. Food was cooked fresh & was very good. I'm glad they're still around! I had the mixed livers & gizzards plate w/mac & cheese & green beans. Delicious.. puffs are always a delight!
