I love Pollards .. they've been a staple here in this area for many years. They've not fixed what wasn't broken. They are the best place for livers & gizzards left some town. Friendly & fast service in this location. Clean & not too busy the day that I stopped in. Food was cooked fresh & was very good. I'm glad they're still around! Best fried chicken I’ve had. I’m new to Virginia. Crispy, crunchy, moist. Seems easy to describe but hard to find. Most people are getting take out. Tables aren’t super clean and the bathroom is more of a “for emergency only” type situation. Just do the take out and you’re good. Staff is friendly.

This was my first visit to Pollards despite the fact that I have lived here 20 years. We got the clam basket and the shrimp basket. The shrimp were small and mostly breading. The clams were slightly overcooked. Fries were not crispy. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can. The corn was good. Service was average.
