I got the vegetable samosas, butter chicken, naan, shrimp biryani and raita. Everything is absolutely delicious, flavorful and aromatic. I will be back to dine in!

Kavid reached out to me after the bad experience we had, and you can truly tell he cares about his customers and his restaurant. He personally invited us back to sit down and talk about what happened, and it meant a lot to be able to share our concerns face to face.
He took the time to listen and made things right with us, which we genuinely appreciate. That level of care and accountability goes a long way. We will absolutely be back. Thank you again, Kavid.
Saffron Indian bistro is the best place for great Indian food in downtown Norfolk. The food is fresh, hot and delicious and they have very generous portions. I highly recommend the Aloo Gobi, Gost Curry (watch out for the bones some of the pieces are small) and the Naan bread basket. The prices are competitive and a good value. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating to accommodate groups. Other reviewers noted slow service. We were there early for dinner and service was quite fast but you could see it slowed down as the restaurant got busier. I highly recommend Saffron Indian Bistro.

My favorite. Food and drinks always perfect. Staff attentive but also very chill. Naan and sauces are incredible.

I am in town for work and was craving some indian food. After a quick Google search, this place popped up near my hotel. WOW!!! Amazing food with very generous portions. The mango lassi is to die for. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

I was really looking forward to my dinner since this place was highly rated on the Find Me GF app. Maybe I just hit them on a bad night, but our server was very impatient and did not seem at all knowledgeable about gluten free or dairy free options. There was maybe one or two other tables of 1-2 people... at one point, we were the only patrons, so I was put off by the impatience. He also suggested a couple of dishes but they weren't listed as GF on the menu. Then he recommended I just get a salad. Frustrating for someone with allergies. As for the food, the rice was incredible. I doubt I will try the Norfolk location, again.

Place leaves door open but does not serve. Rude employees also. First and last time ever coming here

I was a little apprehensive going in as most Indian restaurants are usually horribly decorated and reeking of cooking. This place was a pleasant surprise. Tastefully decorated, no overbearing smells of cooking and good quality food. Service was impeccable. Overall a 9.
