Honestly, we would’ve preferred Taco Bell. The tacos were bland and forgettable, and it took over an hour just to get water. Service was extremely slow. To top it off, they added a mandatory 30% gratuity because we were a large party—despite the poor service. We had somewhere to be, so we paid it and left, but it felt like a slap in the face. Never again.

6/7/25 - Went here to get some food after going to flea market next door at the brewery. You fill out what you would like on your tacos. Kind of reminds me when you do it for sushi but instead it's for tacos. The bartender was great! We also got some drinks and shooters. The pricing was great pricing! There is also outdoor seating. I would definitely come back for some more taco's.

The waitress was beautiful and amazing.
Super sweet and got us everything we needed. The man working in the back (probably the manager because of his massive ego) was extremely rude. He screamed across the bar at my friend because she was using her expired id along with a new dmv temporary license. Tried to embarrass her in front of the customers. He would not accept it and was muttering under his breath about us behind the bar like a freak. Super rude and put me in a bad mood for graduation. Totally unprofessional with my entire family here. This rude person I'm sure is affecting your business and you should consider protecting your business by getting rid of this individual. Felt horrible for the staff who had to witness it and were clearly uncomfortable. The clown shirt he was wearing was very fitting.

These guys have THE BEST tacos. I travel through this city often, and when I do, I make sure to stop by here. They have very charismatic and talented bartenders. I have never been disappointed here.

Sanctuary.DMZ is an absolute gem! The tacos are fantastic, packed with flavour, generously portioned, and at a very reasonable price. There’s a great variety of toppings to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.

Their drink selection is just as impressive, with a wide range of beers and spirits, plus their own brewery on site, a real bonus for craft beer lovers. The atmosphere is lovely, warm, and welcoming, with amazing service from a genuinely friendly team who are always happy to help.

It’s not just for grown-ups either, they run family-friendly events like Easter egg hunts, making it a great spot for everyone. Whether you’re stopping by for food, drinks, or a good time with family and friends, Sanctuary.DMZ never disappoints.

We used to really like this place but the last time we went, less than a week ago, confirmed we would not be back. We sat at the bar, got a drink and my husband ordered four tacos that took about 45 min to come out and when they did they were in a to go bag! He had to flatten the bag and make it his plate, the server saw and didn’t acknowledge it at all. Not to mention, we sat with empty drinks for about ten minutes until we were able to get the bartenders attention for another drink. He then left the empty can and glass in front of us for the duration of us being there. He did not once ask how we were doing or how the meal was. Not sure who hired this staff but none of them looked like they wanted to be there.

Service very slow. Unorganized. One person working bar/counter and floor area. Person seemed to be new. A taco order should be served within 15 minutes no matter how busy or not. It took 30 minutes and we had to prompt the server to check. Food was sitting in the kitchin. It was cold. A complete fail. Will not return.

Great place, phenomenal tacos, and fast service. Choices are great and variety of protein and toppings. Pretty inexpensive for the high quality. Recommend the Mahi Mahi but everything was awesome.

This place used to be a really cool spot to hit with good music and a fun atmosphere, but the service went to garbage. My experience today was not the best. My friend and I walked in around 5 and were not sure whether we should sit at a table or sit at the bar so we just wanted to order our drinks first and then decide where to sit (like we usually do) but as soon as we stood near the bar the bartender immediately yells over a group of people across the bar at us and asked if we were picking up to go or ordering food or a drink or what with full attitude bringing the attention of the whole place on us for no apparent reason and we tell her just a drink and she quickly responded asking if we were with the people around us after just watching us walk in and we said no. she then again yelled across the bar at us that standing around is making her weirded out and super uncomfortable, even though we just walked up to the bar, so we just end up sitting down awkwardly at the bar because she caused a bit of a scene by talking loudly at us instead of just walking up to us. She walks over and asked what we wanted, I told her just a jumbo marg and she told us last call was 5:30 (it was 5:08) so maybe I should just get a regular one cause it was her birthday and she wanted to get out on time. we told her happy birthday and respected that they closed soon (we did not know they closed at 6) and said we were good. we left real quick because we were beyond ready to get out of there already and hop to another bar. just a super odd uncomfortable situation, made us feel super unwelcomed and the vibes were just not there this night which was incredibly disappointing. we really enjoyed the place before that incident though.
