This place is not only a local’s dream but a visitor’s boon. The happy hour is 50% off YOUR ENTIRE BILL. Yes ma’am, you read that right. Much of the staff has worked there for years and they will treat you right. Kimmy and Christian are sweet and attentive and you can tell when they’re working themselves to the bone! The owner has been so gracious in the past, from free shots when an order was delayed to swiping stools to make room at the bar for me and my friends. They’ve experienced the same choke that everyone has since COVID struck, and even if the bar gets overwhelmed they talk to you like a human being and do their level best to offer the best possible service. In terms of food, they’ll make anything practically any way you ask. I like the tuna bites basically still moving and the fries burnt to a crisp. If they CAN do it, they will! Just ask. Whether you’re born and raised in Norfolk or you’re just passing through, this place is a tried and true staple. Tuesdays there’s karaoke and Wednesdays live music. I live and work downtown and this place has become a weekly must for me on my walk home from work. Give them a try and hang out a while!

I come here pretty regularly and I love Scotty Quixx for so many reasons -- most of all being the staff. They're just cool people who make you feel like you're at your home bar. The food is also a plus: great quality Ahi tuna, awesome spinach dip, good wings, etc. Their happy hour is great and even without happy hour prices, this is a killer place to just drink and enjoy a lively spot. The owner is also a really nice dude who works harder than I've EVER seen an owner work in their business.

Dismal wine selection. I only ended up here because it was the one of the only places open, and the rest of my party wanted to go inside. The wine selection was so awful that I didn’t order anything at all. They only had two types of inexpensive white wine, no red wines whatsoever.
