I was really looking forward to eating here, based on the reviews I was reading… but it left a poor taste. Had the thinnest ribeye I’ve ever seen and it was undercooked. I tried to give it a chance because I know a lot of people enjoy a medium-rare ribeye, but I just couldn’t… it was gross. Once I mentioned something, they just slapped the same piece back on the grill after it had already been sitting out on the plate. Rest of the food came out like 5 min after the steak. Mimosa was meh.. Biscuit and eggs were the only things I actually enjoyed. Maybe the server wasn’t having the best day but I think she could’ve been more suggestive or helpful (only checked on me once and close to when I was almost done eating). If you do visit Terrie’s, maybe try something else from the menu besides the ribeye… Personally, I don’t think I’ll ever come back. Too many other local options.

(Ps. Positive reviews are clearly pushed by staff and friends. I don’t do poor reviews unless they’re deserving.)

Picked up family from airport and reviews weren't bad so wth, right. Small local spot next to car repair. Parking lot a mix of gravel and pavement. Friendly staff, great food. My granddaughter kept telling me to kill the bug. I had not seen it but was lucky enough to smash it with my cup. I know they all have them but to run across your table ... you know its bad. The bathrooms were very clean. The food was good. We ordered pancake special that was not on menu but handwritten on the wall. We saw a sign that indicated a surcharge for eggs, but thats for the menu right? Wrong!(Why not handwrite the correct price on wall? Tax in Norfolk is crazy high at like 12.5%. Yes, it was close to airport but that damn bug ruined it for me.

12/10, wish I could experience it for the first time again. After having disappointing breakfasts at so many chain places, this place was an absolute treat. The bacon was crispy and numerous, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the grits tasted so so real, and the biscuits were literally heavenly. Great portions and prices too! And Amy was super sweet and fun. Quiet place when we went, just perfect. Clean bathrooms too! Delighted. I wish I lived nearby—I’d eat here constantly!!

BEST GRAVY IN VIRGINIA. idec if it came out of a can (i doubt it did) i finally found a place with decent gravy in virginia beach. loved it.
