Waited 3 hours for dinner, had to remind server twice about drink order. After 2 hours of waiting we were informed they were out of mashed potatoes for our meal. Wife gave up and cancelled her order . When our order arrived the rice was cold and way undercooked. No manager ever came to check on our table and to top it off after 3 hours in the place the women’s restroom was not working. Major bust all the way around.

I've been here quite a few times in the last few years since they've been open and sadly things are slipping. Qualify of the food was awful, steaks that tasted like propane (how...how??), out of this or that and a server who was so busy chatting with her friends we had to ask the bartender for our bill. Bring back quality food and service and we'll be back otherwise pass.

I’ve loved The Barrel Room for a long time. The food the drinks the atmosphere BUT the past 3 times I’ve been in has been less the satisfactory. I keep trying because I loved it before! Ordered 2 different common bourbons (one supposedly what is in a few of the cocktails)…all out. So what was in the cocktail we also ordered? Two different menu items we tried to order. Out. Dressing was definitely not house made like they stated. Or like before. Waited 1.5 hrs for subpar food sadly on a Thursday night with a half full restaurant. Our waitress was great I will add!!! But definitely not worth the price anymore. I did politely express my concerns to the waitress and the owner chose to stand behind the bar and not to come over and discuss it. Sadly, I will not be back.

Outstanding Black & Blue burger! Almost everything we tried was delicious, the mac and cheese was slightly under seasoned but that's the only negative about the food. There was a guitarist and while he was good, it was just a little loud for the room. I plan on returning to try some of the other items on their menu!

It was terrible. Service was bad, food was worse. I couldn’t cut my burger with the knife given to me. Needed a steak knife. It was dry & a preformed patty, probably frozen. Then there was the truffle fries app. We didn’t even know what to do with this nonsense. Said it came with queso. It did not. It came cold with slices of cheese on top. Not even melted. We would have been happy to leave before we even got the food because it took forever but we were hostage while the waitress was MIA. It wasn’t good the first time we came and we will never be back. Overpriced crap.

The fries are addictive! Went there on the way home from the OBX with my husband and our 3 kids. I ordered the Inside Out Chicken Pot Pie because their description made it sound wonderful! It definitely ISN'T like the description at ALL. No cream sauce, no sauce at all. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't what was described or what I had my mouth set on. I hate being that person that sends back food, but I did. The waitress told me they recently changed the recipe but didn't change the description. I then ordered a medium Bourbon Back Jam burger. It was cooked perfectly medium (too many places fail at that) and was super yummy. They all enjoyed their food as well.
**Side note- ladies- just know that the toilet sounds like you're flushing a helicopter. It's ok though!
