I want to start by saying the server was great but the over all food and experience was not. I made a reservation on Feb 26th for the date of March 8th at 6:30pm to celebrate my birthday for a short top for seating due to having little ones and the host on the phone said that was definitely doable. When we arrived they had set us up for a high top and apologized saying that if I wanted to wait for a short top it would be awhile. The booster they had for my 2 year old didn't secure to the seat nor did it secure my 2 year old who i had to hold on to the whole time. We put our food in not long after sitting but was told the kitchen was backed up. we didn't get our food until about 815 pm and my burger was raw when it was supposed to be medium well. I let the server know and that the cake we brought i just wanted to take back home with us because there was no point in sending anything back since she said the kitchen was still backed up and I wasn't going to make my family wait after they had all already eaten. I ended up walking outside and staying out there with my daughter because the whole experience was stressful and ruined my birthday. we do not recommend this for anyone.

Arrived at 5:30pm & waited 15 minutes to be seated. Had our appetizer order of burned barrel balls within 15 minutes of ordering them and they were tough & dry like they’d been sitting in a crockpot all day. Took 50 minutes to receive our main entree order. I ordered fish and chips and I’ve never seen so much batter on three tiny fish fingers in my entire life. The panko batter wasn’t fully cooked. Really a very poor dining experience tonight. We won’t be back.

I’ve been coming to the barrel room for three years. It’s so close, I could use a scooter. The food and drinks are excellent. The service is below par. The people there make you feel nonexistent to the world. The atmosphere is just staring at blue walls. The place feels like it has no heart put into it, even though I’m sure there was the intent to do so. Please teach your staff to be kind to everyone. Please lower your live band audio. Please try to make the barrel room into a cozy hideaway from home. Thank you.

As many times as I've been here and have never reviewed this place, I should be punished.

Because this hidden gem shines so bright in many different ways.

The atmosphere is vintage with some modern twists. The band(s) that show up to play are great and although it can be a bit loud at times, it's not an every night thing. The restaurant is small, so the noise does carry, when music is playing, but it's not too overwhelming, unless the place is full of older people that don't like it. The manager does a fantastic job with no law control, so I've personally never been bothered by it but others might be on band nights.

The cocktail menu is great. They have a wide selection of bourbons, scotches, wines and beers and their staff takes a crazy amount of pride with the liquid beverages. On a busy night, you could wait a few extra minutes, but it's well worth it.

The food is just incredible. I've had everything on the menu, to include a few specials and I have yet to have anything that didn't deserve applause. But my go to.....their hot honey chicken sandwich. It's incredible. The perfect amount of heat and that cabbage slaw just adds a perfect complement.

Their dishes are always well prepared and served very artistically.

Finally, the staff. I challenge someone to come in here and find an unhappy staff member. They are kind. They are busy. They are most importantly.....aware. They can carry on a conversation with any customer and still know what's going on around them and the teamwork is incredible.

Kudos to the gentleman running this establishment and thank you to the kitchen staff and restaurant staff for everything they do.

This gem is incredible.

The live music at this place was absolutely deafening and we had to shout all evening to be heard amongst our group of 4. The music was not even particularly good, so just check before you go which nights they have live music if that's not your thing.
The service was very good so we were happy with that. The food was ok, nothing special.

What type of restaurant closes their kitchen 30 minutes prior to closing? Very poor service and planning.

Fantastic food. Friendly staff.
The scallops were cooked perfectly. The Seared Ahi Tuna Nachos were an interesting twist on a familiar dish. The Inside Out Chicken Pot Pie was great as well.
