Specialty chocolate from a neighboring maker. But plan ahead and order your wedding cake, birthday cake or some sort of party cake. You will NOT be disappointed! Unfortunately, you're running out of time though as they're closing end of Feb! Nooo! Bobbonnier - you will be missed.

One of my favorite bakeries in New Jersey is La Bonbonniere in Edison. Imagine my happiness when I saw this one in Ghent. Now I didn't expect it to be the same as NJ .. but I did expect to be at least greeted warmly. I wouldn't say the young lady working on 08.21.22 was rude per se , just extremely indifferent ,not warm or remotely welcoming. As a first time customer in your establishment. It will be my last time visiting. She mentioned there was a bakery in the back, lets hope it was warmer in the back than the chilly greeting in the front.SignedDisappointed .

Go to this bakery! It is worth every penny. I've had carrot cake slices (my favorite), gigantic cereal treats and most recently ordered an 8" caramel turtle cake. It was so good. The buttercream was not overwhelmingly sweet and the chocolate layers were moist and delicious. It was the perfect celebration cake. The staff is always pleasant, friendly and helpful with suggestions.

There's something about a bakery that has many different offerings - chocolate by the pound, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, packaged gift items...then the huge American flags on the wall show that this store doesn't only warm your tummy with delectable items but it warms your spirit and nurtures your pride. There wasn't much a selection of cupcakes - they had red velvet, Oreos and cherry topping. Their website had more. Their cookie selection had chocolate chip and molasses, the latter is a welcomed offering as you don't see that in most bakeries/coffee shops anymore (very old fashioned). Their selection of chocolates is good. If I can suggest something for their business (hope they read reviews) is dipped apples - caramel, s'mores, m&m's etc etc . It will suit their business model ... Anyway, back to their cupcakes: I got the red velvet which was very moist. It had that great red velvet taste. Icing was wonderfully just right sweetness. Delicious, perfectly moist cupcakes!! The best vanilla cupcakes I have ever tasted! I ordered the almond, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry cupcakes. All of them had just the right mixture of flavors without being excessively sugary. You can tell the owners enjoy their craft because you can taste the delicate sweetness in their cupcakes. I highly recommend this establishment and will return soon!!

The Bonbonnier is my favorite spot for sweets! I live less than a 3 minute walk, so this place is dangerous. The spitfires are probably the BEST thing they make in house & sell. Sweet & spicy Roasted pecans, gooey caramel, dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. You’ll never want a basic pecan turtle again, this changes the game entirely! Their cookies are to die for, ESPECIALLY the molasses or peanut butter ones. They have an amazing assortment of cakes, chocolates, baked goods, and more. I quite literally give people their sweets as Christmas gifts on a yearly basis now. I have to stop myself from going more! I will always love this spot

Our wedding cake and cupcakes (4-5 different flavors) from Bonbonnier were phenomenal. It felt like every single one of our wedding guests asked me where we ordered our cupcakes from because they were that good. As a bonus we also used Bonbonnier to provide bonbons as our wedding favors- they were also a hit.

Lisa, when above and beyond to help me find a cake for my special day even though she was out of my delivery range. The customer service here is top notch!! I highly recommend !
