The facility is lovely -always has been- and we appreciated that their beer selection included more than the usual run of IPAs and more IPAs. However, near half of the taps weren't working at the time and the food selection was very predictable and very very basic.

I just love going to this place. The food is always awesome, and control of your own drinks is a major plus.

The food Hits!!! Mushroom pizza was my favorite of all that came to the table. The Street corn dip was good but IMO on the sweeter side vs the salty cojita/ spice side I'd expect from a dish like that. The self pour is an awesome feature!! You don't get locked into a pint of anything, get to try all the things❤️ Rooftop has heaters. Will be back for more of the environment and to try more things on the menu.Parking: Parking lot in back is shared with whole plaza. There is also street parking.

It was fine. The truffle fries had little to no flavor and the blueberry jam goat cheese burger was under whelming and lacked goat cheese. Several of the ciders and sours were unavailable. Staff was great though. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.

I love the vibe and business model here. You pour as much of whatever drinks you want and get charged by the amount poured so you can try as many things as you want! The food was pretty decent too, though my friend’s hot honey pizza was considerably better than my smokehouse burger (wasn’t given an option to do a medium cook instead of well done, which is not my preferred cook on a burger). Lots of interesting beer options

We recently held a professional, but informal, event on their rooftop for about 25-30 people. The owners I spoke with (Jason and Wayne) were communicative, gracious, and incredibly willing to meet our needs. The day of the event the food came out perfect and timely, the staff was attentive and courteous, and the folks at our event unanimously agreed it was a good time. We had the brisket tacos (huge hit), various styles of chicken tenders (75 tendies total), and six pizzas. Affordable, fun, and a large selection of self-pour beer as well. 5/5 stars and bookmarking this place for future events!

Absolutely an amazing venue. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Nice staff, great selection of beer & wine. Food looked great, look forward to trying it next time. Rooftop was super well designed but more indoor space than I was expecting as well. Thanks for the fine hospitality Jason and staff.

I recently organized a social event at The Ghent, and it exceeded all expectations. With over a hundred attendees, the restaurant flawlessly accommodated our large group with impeccable service and attention to detail. The Ghent's cuisine was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From appetizers to desserts, every bite left a lasting impression on our guests. What truly stood out was The Ghent's exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the success of our event, catering to our every need with professionalism and warmth.Overall, I highly recommend The Ghent for any social gathering or special occasion. Their combination of outstanding food and exemplary service guarantees an unforgettable experience for all. We can't wait to return for another memorable event.

BLUF - This place is AMAZING. Great drinks, great food, great ambiance, and phenomenal staff. The drink selection is varied and balanced in all types of wine and beer offerings, and they feature a lot of local Hampton Roads breweries/wineries, which I like to see.The food is killer. Menu items of note are the Blueberry & goat cheeseburger (crazy good), the Shrimp Po Boy (sizable shrimp and plenty on the roll), the Pork belly tacos (good marinade), the Loaded waffle fries (big portion and lots of brisket), and the Street corn dip (SO GOOD). And there's still plenty of delicious-sounding items on the menu that I haven't tried. The ambiance is equal parts chill and cool. Brewery vibes, but with a pretty, modern, carefully detailed aesthetic, and a rooftop bar with tons of seating and tons of heaters (and I'm always cold...)But the best part about The Ghent is their customer service. They are incredibly accommodating, they check in with their patrons frequently but not too much, they clean up often, and everyone on staff is SO NICE. I was part of a group that needed to host an event on a Tuesday night, the one day The Ghent was closed. They were so gracious about helping us by opening up for the night, and they supported all the whims of a ton of people with total professionalism. Our attendees had nothing but compliments on the venue, so a complete win for us.Go here. Right now. It's the BEST.

Brisket taco is top notch. Beef was perfect and the tortilla was thin and grilled (as opposed to raw tortillas out of a bag). The whole self pour concept was great because you don't really have to commit to 9oz of one thing. I tasted three different things only a couple ounces each. Super fun. Buffalo Chicken dip also great. Next time I am trying a burger.Parking: In a plaza where it could get busy and be hard to park

Great ambiance! Clean and casual, the self pace/self pour was great for a mixed group of people. The wine, beer and cider selection was very good featured local options as well as some "standards" (I.e., Stella Artios & Kona Big Wave). Our servers were for food only and I felt the service was prompt. You use a QR code to order what you want and you can pay on your phone when you order. We got the loaded waffle fries (added Brisket) and the Bavarian pretzel. Both were very good, the fries were a little salty but covered with other things we didn't notice too much. Looking forward to coming back for a visit.

Love the vibe here. It's super cute inside and on the rooftop. There is plenty of seating on the rooftop, several picnic tables and 3 cozy seating areas with couches. You can still enjoy the rooftop with cooler weather. There's plenty of heaters and 3 gas firepits. I like the idea of pouring our own drinks...no lines to wait in. The food was good. The Candied Walnut and Goat Cheese salad I had was DELICIOUS! I can't wait to go back and get the same salad! Burger was good too, we got the BYOB.

Good food, excellent beer and cider/ seltzer choices and friendly, efficient service. Downstairs is open, bright and clean, but austere. Look forward warmer weather so can take advantage of rooftop.
