I door dashed Turkey wings, greens, yams, Mac and cheese and I was blown away. I need them to do my Thanksgiving.

I've ordered from here quite a few times. The fried chicken is always good. That's normally my go to, and they have a great lunch special where you can get three wings and two sides.

The food here is hit or miss in my opinion. Three items in particular that tend to be good some days and bad other days include the macaroni and cheese, the yams, and the turkey wings.

Sometimes the yams are delicious and other days they're mushy and dry. The last time my mother ordered them, she said the yams tasted like they were days old. The turkey wings are also dry sometimes. I personally think some of their dishes being dry may have something to do with the heat lamp the food is sitting under. I think it dries certain foods out.

The mac and cheese has its inconsistencies too. Today, we picked up a half tray of mac and cheese and green beans. The green beans were OK, but the mac and cheese was watery and tasted like they added too much pepper. My sister had to add more cheese, garlic and onion powder, and smoked paprika, then baked it a little longer. Our family said it tasted much better after she made some changes.

I would go back for individual meals but not for catering. The quality of the food is just too inconsistent to rely on for events, sadly.

This was the worst whiting I’ve ever had. It tasted like reheated frozen, not fresh, fish. It was tough, rubbery , and smelled way too fishy. My husband and I both threw ours out. Such a disappointment. Go to Blackeyed Peas at Lynnhaven Mall instead. Trying something new does not always work out. It definitely didn’t this time. ✌🏽🙏🏽

love the turkey wings and ribs! Mac and cheese always good in my books. Green beans are on and off on some days but overall loved it!
One thing I would suggest is to please make an online website instead of using door dash lol they don’t have all the sides included up there! Thanks for the great experiences!

Rude cashier, food no tasty

Food was good and everyone was nice.

Service was good the food was just ok, The Banana Pudding was a sloppy runny mess would never get that again, The smothered Pork Chops was drowned in the gravy.

Just left and I’m so disappointed. They fell off bad was my favorite spot but through the years just been worst food wise, service wise. Today my last day ever.

Umm. I think when you order ribs maybe you should get them. And then maybe answer the phone. Finally got them on the phone after they hung up on me once. Then they told me I ordered from a different restaurant. Yeah. You’re on your own, you take your chances with this horrible place.

FOOD IS OK BUT THE SERVICE FROM THE CASHIER THATS ALWAYS THERE AT NIGHT, IS HORRIBLE! SHE HAS A VERY NASTY ATTITUDE! SMH SHES VERY DISRESPECTFUL! EVERYTIME I COME THERE THE LADY THAT FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY, HAS AN ATTITUDE.

Recommended dishes: Pork Chops Cabbages String Beans & Corn Muffin

Didn't mind the wait, but the food was disappointing. I ordered the smothered turkey wings, cabbage with rice and gravy. Turkey wings and cabbage were ok, but the rice and gravy was horrible. It smelled bad and tasted bad as well.
I also ordered the fried chicken with yams and mac and cheese. Chicken was a little salty, but edible. Mac and cheese was just unflavored noodles with cheese slapped on top. I don't think I'll be going back.

My mother had her bridal dinner at “THEE FOOD KITCHEN”. All the bridesmaids loved the food as well! I personally would eat here every day if I could !
