Really tasty food. Delicious smoothies. Friendly owners. They have burgers, mushroom pita, Rasta pasta, vegan fried chicken sandwiches, crispy fries, and more. They have a fridge section with premade salads. Two outdoor tables and some limited seating inside. Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a slow, casual meal with some delicious food.
I had the oyster mushroom chik'n sandwich with mango habanero and sweet potato fries. Food is delicious and made perfectly. I got to meet the owner, Vance, and he really cares about the food he serves. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-26
Oh my goodness! After a long day at work in the local area missing lunch, I started getting headaches. I had to find something to eat fast! I of course broke out the Happy Cow app and found Planet Vegan being the closest to my work location. When I arrived there at Planet Vegan Vegan I was greeted by the sushi chef and another chef who made the burgers, sandwiches, fries etc. Being it was first time there I went ordered the Planet Vegan Burger. Sure enough, all the reviews weren’t lying about how OUTSTANDING the burger tastes. The burger being on a pretzel bun….NICE! 😎 While my Planet Vegan Burger was being made, I talked to the sushi chef and he was telling me about the different sushi he made. The most popular sushi he makes is one called the Mt. More. I decided to order that to-go. After I got home, I was only able to eat two because…I was full from eating the Planet Vegan Burger 🍔 and fries at ate earlier. Overall, I highly recommend checking Planet Vegan out!
While vacationing in Virginia Beach, we took a short trip to Norfolk to try out Vegan Planet Cafè—and we’re so glad we did! This small, unassuming spot packs a big punch with its delicious food and incredible service. We tried the burger, the sausage, and the Rasta Smack—and wow, the Rasta Smack was out of this world! The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced; it’s a must-try if you visit. My son even declared the burger the best he's ever had! The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and everything was clearly made with care and expertise. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. The space itself is cozy, so ordering ahead might be a good idea if you're planning to dine during a busy time. Whether you're vegan or not, Planet Vegan is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for satisfying, flavorful food. Highly recommend it!
Spectacular in every way. I popped in here for a quick lunch after work. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and helpful. I got the vegan oxtail with peas&rice. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly reccomend to absolutely anyone. Very well done.

This was some if the most flavorful Jamaican food I've ever had and it's all vegan! The oxtails were amazing! So tender and flavorful and we got it with the curried cabbage.

This was the first full vegan restaurant I tried out when moving to Norfolk earlier this year, and still, after 6 months later, it's definitely in my top 5 restaurants of all the ones I've been able to visit so far. Great portions amazing prices, wonderful ingredients, and everything is made by one man with a gift and a passion for food. I hope to see this place go far!

If you like to be aggressively told to step back from an imaginary line, and a healthy side of flies on your food then go check out Vegan Planet Cafe on Granby st ? ? ?
Had been wanting to see what they had for a while as I drive in the area often. Stopped today at lunchtime, looked at the menu and asked what the burger was made of etc… guy was already bothered for some reason so I said I’d just check what they might have to go and asked what they had in the fridge. Never even put my hand on handle or anything ??♀️
Jamaican bro lost his ?right there and then with big gestures and warning me about “NEVER TO STEP IN HIS KITCHEN” etc… and seriously, not out of spite do I say the amount of flies was insane as well.

Drove here for nothing. It's 12 30 pm and they aren't even open during their posted business hours. Never again.

Ordered cauliflower bites. They breaded and fried them right in front of me! One of the best plant based mac n cheese I've had. Found an herb I havent been able to find anywhere (feverfew). Highly recommend!!
