This used to be a good spot; I recently visited for the first time in a long time, and the food quality and preparation went down. The new cook, a woman, had started prepping the food without washing her hands or using gloves, which is very unhygienic. I had to ask if she was going to put on gloves. She then said she hadn’t started cooking yet, even though she had started making the batter. It kind of ruined my appetite. The smack pasta went down a lot. It is not as good as it used to be. It is very unfortunate that the quality went down but best of luck to this establishment.

Me and my friends loveeed our food! I got the Cajun mushroom pita and they got the Chikn sandwich with sides of “shmack” (the Mac and cheese) and we cleaned our plates! 10/10 recommend. We also loved the vibe and ambiance. We will be back! 🤩

Yes it is a hole in the wall but it's a cute little hole in the wall the food was amazing I got the burger that has the macaroni the Jamaican macaroni on it when I tell you it was the best vegan burger I've ever had and then the sweet potato fries with just the icing on the cake I would recommend going here if you are wanting to stick with vegan options, I also purchased the bean pie which is kind of like a pumpkin pie but it's made out of beans and it was bomb

Vegan Planet Café is that spot! I’ve spent over $500 here in just the past two days, and it was worth every penny. The cauliflower wings are incredible, the chicken sandwiches are on point, and don’t even get me started on the banana pudding — me and my brother came through and grabbed the last two!
I came back the very next day with my uncle, and once again, it was a big order and an even better experience. The atmosphere is fantastic — live music, good vibes, and the most welcoming people. Special shoutout to Mrs. Dee and E — y’all make the place feel like home.
I’ll definitely be back at least once a week. Vegan Planet Café is a solid 10 out of 10 in every way! 🌱🔥

First off I’m a botanist walking into a place with plants that have fungal and bacterial infections should’ve been my first clue. The second the fridges for kitchen food are at the feet of guests (no idea how that is legal or food safe). The vibe was unwelcoming and odd. My girlfriend had an issue ordering as they were out of most of their menu items. Our food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great the sauces really carried every individual item. The fries were the only exception of being good. We also didn’t realize every menu item was going to be fried? Kind of defeats the purpose of holistic eating if you just drench it in canola oil. Couple bites in and we called it a day. Hey at least we gave it a shot! There was also an employee? Or friend? Walking uncomfortably close to patrons and making gagging throw up sounds outside the door which was disgusting. Maybe if they go to fruitive, JMT, Desmond’s, my vegan sweet tooth, or shadowlawn they could compare to clean establishments with welcoming personalities.

I love this little vegan spot. The camaraderie is unmatched. Also a cute pet lizard you can pet if you like. Cute trinkets and herbs and best of all Chef Deena makes the best food all filled with love. This spot is my new go to hole in the wall café. Try the Mediterranean wrap!

The shmack burger was flavorful the rasta shmack was spicy no flavor curry cabbage was bland and the chikn sandwich was ok. The place is filthy and needs a complete over haul... talk about a hole in the wall joint... the roach on the counter was more welcoming then the lady who took my order as she quickly frowned and acted as if she didnt want to interact with me. They didnt have all the ingredients for my tropical smoothie... I heard the gentle that greeted me kindly tell the lady they didnt have moringa... another guy says hold on went outside I guess to a nearby shop returned with avocados then my smoothie was given to me but it wasnt green which I believe it should've been green because it included kale and moringa. Moringa does effect color atleast when I use it at home.it does🤷🏻♀️. None said anything to me about the missing ingredients or anything. Everything but the sandwiches went in the trash. I will NEVER return thats how unwelcomed and disgusted I was with my visit and yes I initially over looked the run down-ness but quickly regretted ever going there

My recent visit with my father was my second time there. We were the only people in the restaurant at first early Sunday afternoon and were served rather quickly. The Planet Burger was delicious. The fries were fine, and my dad liked the pasta side he got even though it was a little too spicy for him.
I have mixed feelings about the restaurant though because the physical appearance is in need of an overhaul. While I didn’t get a picture of it, there are many issues that need to be addressed such as appliances in random places, sticky tables, and an overall dilapidated look. Maybe more business here can help with that, but I hope that they clean up the store. My dad will definitely still return even though he’s not even vegan.
