I enjoy coming to the Chrysler and I like coming to the cafe but. Today I purchased something and the cashier did not even look at me. Didn’t even say hi and just told me the price. After I paid she said nothing to me at all and I left. I felt like it was rude to treat a customer this way as if I didn’t exist.
She spoke and smiled to the people that were in front of me and they looked nothing like me and were treated better but when I came to purchase my drink she acted like I didn’t matter or existed.
Treat all your customers the same. No matter who they are. No matter the race, their sexual orientation, the body shape or anything else that “separates” them from the customer you served before me.
Keep the same energy for everyone.

Yesterday, Saturday June 14th a small group of us a total of 7 had lunch at Zinnia Cafe, at 12;30pm. Most of us ordered either the Chrysler BLT and one person ordered the burger. One person also ordered the She Crab soup and one ordered the tomato and basil soup.
Here are the comments regarding the food. The BLT was good but not amazing, in my opinion, it lacked flavor other than the pepper bacon you could taste. The burger was very good and would definitely be reordered. in the future. The She Crab soup had hardly any crab and definitely no lump crab. The tomato soup had to be sent back due to a burnt taste. I appreciated them having gluten free bread as a free option for the sandwich. The waitress was very kind and always smiling. There was no dessert menu we were told and no desserts available, other than I saw a piece of cheescake in the to go section. They had some very small danish on the counter which I ordered for 3 of us. They were tasty but 3 bites in total per danish. For us, it was still enough. The atmosphere is very nice and they have outdoor seating as well. They seemed short on staff. They need a cook or chef to check the soups for quality before sending them out to the customers. We will go back and give them another try. We hope some things will be improved.

Very disappointed with how rude and unprofessional the staff was. I had a reservation for 11:00am, but the sign in front of the entrance still said the kitchen was closed. After waiting 15 minutes, we politely asked a server whether the restaurant was open, we were bluntly told that the sign says the restaurant opens at 11. Brushing that aside, we entered to be seated. At this point, we heard the same server in the kitchen complaining about how we had asked about whether the restaurant was open! Having taken enough disrespect, we left the museum to get lunch somewhere else. While the museum was great, I would recommend skipping the restaurant all together.

I wasn't expecting much from a museum restaurant, So I was especially happy with the great lobster roll sandwich and burgers. Even the potato chips were great 😃

Fantastic food and service. As a cafe in the museum I did not have very high expectations, but the food blew us away. Had the burger and BLT and both were incredible. Highly recommended.

Cafe located inside of the Chrysler Museum was a little more $$ than expected. Arrived before the kitchen closed @ 2pm. Ordered a chicken caprese panini & their signature BLT. The BLT with a fried green tomato & goat cheese was delicious. Definitely would get that item again. Their handmade chips were good also. Everything tasted fresh.
The staff were friendly. It took a little longer for our food to be ready than we were told but given we had just interrupted their clean up - it was kind of expected. Their outdoor seating area is really nice.
Waitress was friendly and polite. The atmosphere was good and relaxing. My burger was delicious but i was not happy with the fries. They were supposed to have cheese on them but instead had a tiny sprinkle of cheese on it. I told them to put more cheese on them and the waitress came back with a tiny cup of cheese to put on myself. Way over priced and the glass was small for a 5.00 apricot tea.

We grabbed lunch at Zinnia Cafe while visiting the Chrysler Museum & took the option to sit outside. Zinnias is very clean & a has a wonderful atmosphere. Our server Linda was very friendly and answered all of questions. We ordered the grass fed hamburger & the duck salad. They were both delicious & we ended up sharing our meals. We will definitely return to try other menu items.

Visited The Chrysler museum for an exhibit and missed lunch that day but it had smelled so wonderful that I made a point of going back just for the Zinnia Cafe!
Cute indoor and outdoor dining areas, great service and believe they said that they change up the menu every couple of months. So there will probably be some basics that stay but something new to try each time too

Stopped in when seeing the Eyes of the Storm Exhibit. Food was good and soup portion was small but salad was a good size. Erica gave great service and was a pleasure to be served by her.

Loved the special tea time offered, but felt that the $35 price was steep for the quantity and portions of food provided. You received everything listed in accompaniments. The catch is: the sandwich is a quarter of a whole sandwich. The rest of the accompaniments are also small in portion. We were left with the desire to have a secondary meal. While the portions were meager, the flavors were great. It’s worth the experience once to try.

I love that they have updated the restaurant in the Chrysler Museum to Zinnia! It’s convenient, has indoor and outdoor seating and is very modern. I appreciated the clean bathrooms as well! The staff is always nice and it’s a great place to have lunch or just have a coffee. We stopped in to have lunch while we were seeing the Paul McCartney exhibit. And then continued to see the new painting collection upstairs. They do have seasonal menus so it could change what is available. The portions are large ( I took home half my burger ) and well put together. My burger was cooked perfectly and how I wanted it. My only complaint would be having to sit too close to strangers because they are so busy sometimes. But that’s a good thing! Also I’m not a fan of the ranch dressing or ketchup. It was almost a hint of vinegar in the ranch and the ketchup was sweet. Can’t wait to stop by again and try something else on the menu.
