Yes sir I love their egusi goat and chicken before I left 4 years ago and still love it today. I'm so happy they are still thriving. 💓

I ordered via uber eats delivery, so I didn’t have the sit down experience. But the FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS! I ordered the vegetarian option of egusi soup with plantain fufu and jollof rice. 10/10. The flavors were out of this world. I never knew egusi soup was that delicious. I would order again and again and again!

Placed an order through their website at 12:51pm and My pickup time was originally 1:21pm and due to my previous pickup experience being terrible, I arrived a few minutes after to give them more time at 1:36pm. I was told my order was not ready and to wait 15-20 minutes. I came back in after 20 minutes and I was told my order still was not ready and to wait another 10 minutes. I final got my order at 2:20pm and the person working the counter declined to give even a partial refund for the ridiculous customer service and extremely long wait time but he did offer me a free drink. I do not recommended this location especially if you do not have time to wait around for over an hour.

I have came here twice. The first time I ordered way in advance as the ordering process tells you to do so. It was a VERY long wait. We were assured it was a short staffing issue. I order again quite some time after in hopes it would have been resolved. I ordered even more in advance . My order was place at 12:55 pm. I arrive at about 1:30 pm. I walk in and was told they could not find it, then magically he does and asks for 20 minutes. I walk in again and he asks for 10 more. After 10 minutes I walk in and it’s still not ready. In fact I am currently still waiting for my order as I write this review and current time is 2:24pm. At this point I just want my money back and they are telling me they can’t do that but I can get a free drink … never coming back and I would recommend that if you don’t have all day , you don’t either.

I’m so disappointed in my food… again. My issue is the inconsistency with ordering. I ordered the spinach stew with jollof rice and pounded yam along with samosas. The jollof rice only tastes like tomato. The last time I had it, it had a little kick and depth in flavor. This time wasn’t so. Same with my spinach stew, I got less spicy because last time I got egusi with spice, it was extremely spicy with no real flavor… and it’s mackerel. And it had a Scorched taste to it like it was burned and transferred. I drove 39 minutes because I’m pregnant and wanted jollof rice but everything I had fell flat. The samosas were even different this time. Fried in a tortilla of some sort when before it was a dough. With the prices if the food, I won’t be back.

One of my favorite things about the Hampton roads area is the food options. YENDIDI is a prime example of the diversity and quality that makes this place home. I got a plethora of dishes to try some things I’ve had before and some new things. Overall I can say it was well worth the price, and frankly a large portion size for the price. I got the low spice option for the egusi soup which was perfect for me, enough spice to have flavor but not enough to burn. I truly enjoyed each dish! My favorites include the collard greens, jollof rice, egusi soup, and sweet plantains. Adding this place to my list of favorites for sure!

Spent over 74 dollars today for food myself nor my family could eat. The greens had some kind of white stuff inside, the okra soup had zero seasoning, asked for spicy and nothing was spicy, the goat suya was burnt and the Jollof rice was bland, and why is the fufu so soft like it’s undone! Never again only will I patronize the take out spot because whoever is cooking knows nothing about cooking African food and the tilapia fish was fried so hard the meat was so dry! Very disappointed
