Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

We’re senior citizens that rarely go out and we went to Famous Dave’s in Oakton for Valentine’s Day. We requested a booth but the greeter told us she was expecting a lot of people for Valentine’s Day and would we sit at a table by the entrance so we did just to make her happy. However, we were confused by her comment because we were there for Valentine’s Day. There were several booths open the hour we were there and when we left. The table was cold by the entrance and my husband said the ribs were good but the chicken was dry. We felt unwelcome by the greeter. Maybe we’ll try Valentine’s dinner somewhere else tonight.

Really enjoy the lunch two meet combo with ribs and pork and Wilber beans. Just the right amount of food for me and always taste great at this location. Love the service I get from Cory and Karen.

My company Clean As Snow carpet and house cleaning use famous Dave to cater our holiday party for the last three years they always deliver and everything is awesome. Thank you for so much for your professionalism and the great food.

Thank you Famous Daves for making our Christmas Eve celebration memorable. The steps from ordering to pick up were handled professionally and courteously. The food was outstanding. The portions were generous and tasted awesome.
We have two gluten free persons. There was no problem when we asked for the vanilla wafer cookies to be separate from the banana pudding.
We recommend Famous Daves for your catering needs.

We were literally the only customers in the main seating area and it took the waiter a long time to take our order. Apparently some “frequent customers” came in shortly after us and we were forgotten about as he tended to them and ignored us for a while.

The main dishes weren’t bad, but our dessert came out with a hair in the ice cream. I immediately flagged down the waiter and showed him the dish and he took it back. I could hear a female employee talking about it in the back area. She seemed to think it was funny that we found a hair in the food. That’s what happens when you hire young kids to do customer service and things like that become a joke which was really frustrating.

Edited 12/2025- brought our family to have dinner there and it was an awful experience. The booth we were sat at smelled like urine and they had a wall plug in to try masking the smell. It was horrendous and we couldn’t eat our food because the pee smell was so overwhelming. We will not be returning to this location.

Absolutely recommended! If you want to start your weekend right, go see Karen at the Vienna location and you will get the best experience! Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere, Karen is super helpful. She rocks the bar and makes amazing drinks!

Our waiter Rahul sikka was incredibly mature for his age. On the outside he looks like a scrawny little boy, but on the inside he is warm, welcoming and incredibly cute. We need more non threatening men like him in the work industry.

Had a good meal at Famous Dave’s in Oakton. Food was solidly good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and sides. We had pulled chicken, brisket, burger, amongst other items. The server was ok, nothing special and sometimes didn’t show for quite a while. The atmosphere was good - large sized booth was comfortable.

Had the salmon.. Great flavor but slightly overcooked for my taste. Small bar.. Nice place. not over crowded.. no wait for a seat.
