I’ve been coming to Luciano’s in Oakton for years, and it never disappoints! This place has been a staple for me whenever I’m craving authentic Italian food, and their pizza is hands down some of the best in the area.
Incredible Pizza – The cheese pizza is a Must-Try
I’ve tried just about everything on the menu, but I always come back to their White/Cheese Pizza—it’s absolutely perfect. The crust is just the right balance of crispy and chewy, and the combination of garlic, olive oil, pecorino, and mozzarella makes it rich and flavorful without being too heavy. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!
Great Ice Cream & A Solid Wine Selection
After a great meal, I always make room for their ice cream—it’s smooth, creamy, and a perfect way to end dinner. They also have a decent wine selection, and while it’s not the most extensive, they’ve picked quality wines that pair well with their dishes. A glass of wine with a fresh pizza or pasta dish just hits differently!
Warm Atmosphere & Friendly Staff
One of the reasons I keep coming back is the consistency—the food is always great, and the service is warm and welcoming. Whether I’m grabbing a casual dinner, dining with family, or just stopping in for a quick bite, Luciano’s always feels like home.
If you’re in the Vienna/Oakton area and love Italian food, this is the spot. After all these years, it’s still one of my favorites, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!
Big fan of their white pizza, friendly staff and reasonable prices. One of my go-to lunch spots in Fairfax.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Staff were great and our food came out quickly.
Small italian restaurant, good food. The servers were very kind and polite.
We easily found parking in the lot. We were seated quickly and our drink order taken. I saw a special on the menu that was eggplant based. It was listed as an appetizer but I ate half there was and the other half for another meal. It was absolutely delicious. The ravioli was also delicious too. I totally recommend this restaurant
And the spaghetti with meat sauce and wedding soup was great, the service was fantastic, reasonably priced.
As they should the server checked up on us a couple times after the food was delivered.
There is one improvement I'd recommend they make, on the check there's a QR code to pay your bill at the table but it only works with an iPhone it will not work with Android, which doesn't make any sense since Android has a much larger market share than iPhone does nowadays.

Three star out of five. Mozzarella sticks were okay 3/5. Meat tortellini okay 3/5, meat ravioli is good, 5/5. Lasagna was very disappointing 1/5, flavor was not pronounced and it was cool in the middle, definitely was precooked and reheated poorly. Desserts were Tiramisu and Carrot cake 3/5.
Service was sub par, very avoidant aside from the minimal engagement, not a single check in by server.
Atmosphere is nice though, good spot for a small group to relax and socialize, speed of food/desserts very slow...

Restaurantji Recommends
First time customer. Not really impressed. We ordered take out on a busy Labor Day weekend evening. $7+ side salad was tiny and just barely covered the bottom of the tray it came in. The salad dressing container was only 1/4 full. No exaggeration. The two calzones we ordered tasted fine but were small compared to what we are used to with other Italian restaurants. Doubt we will be back for the cost.

I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for almost three years now and have found maybe one other place my wife and I keep coming back to. The first time we went to Luciano on a whim I immediately noticed how courteous and genuinely friendly the staff was. The pizza and food are also excellent and each time we’ve returned everything is spot on. From the dish washers all the way up to the manager this restaurant is run and operated by empathetic people that cook great food.
We look forward to routinely going and dining in as opposed to takeout due to how efficient and kind the staff is (as well as the best pizza in Northern VA).

I don't usually post about bad restaurants but I just had to.
14 dollars for a slice of commercial made tiramisu?
12 dollars for a Cesar salad 9 croutons and a sprinkle of Parm over a handful of lettuce....
My 25 dollar calzone was smaller than a sandwich...Hate to do this to you but fix your problems.
I ordered the Stuffed Eggplant. Initial bite was nice. The entire meal was barely hot. Had to send it back to heat. When my meal came back it was still cold. Had a few bites then left this restaurant.
