The interior is very cool, sever was courteous. Service is quick. When it comes to the food itself: I'm on the fence. We ordered several appetizers and main dishes; we liked some and not others. Because it's an Indian Mexican fusion place, the Indian flavors over power any Mexican ones. So, it's up to the customer's taste.

I love this place. I was missing a good mole sauce since Picante closed. Mama Tigre has it!

This is a great experience. It gets packed so it’s best to make reservations. We went there on a Thursday night and still waited ~20 minutes to set seated. Because it’s outside the city there’s free parking but even that gets crowded. The atmosphere is very casual, with everyone enjoying themselves. And the food is delicious. I have to go back to try more. For starters we had the masala fries and they didn’t last long. For our main meal I had the chicken chorizo tacos. My wife the chili relleno. And my son the pollo en mole. Flavors were wonderful. I must go back.
Mama Tigre is a fantastic restaurant and if you live near Oakton VA I would highly suggest stopping by sometime. It is an Indian and Latino fusion food place where the food is the star! Items like butter chicken tamales and Tikka chicken tacos are some of the best food in the area. They also have an extensive drink menu featuring margaritas as well as other fun drinks. The indoor atmosphere and outdoor seating are very similar to a Rio Grande with extra flare and are a plus. The location at the corner of 66 and 123 make it convenient, but also takes away from a very nice patio. The prices are are very fair for the high quality food and Mama Tigre is a wonderful destination for lunch, dinner, happy hour or a family outing!
Overall great restaurant with yummy options for vegetarians and excellent service!Pros: Good drinks (both alcoholic and not) and food. Chips are improved from before (they're much thinner now, though I wish they would add a little salt), and salsa is good but wish it was not as sweet as it is.Cons: Need a better base salsa in my opinion. And I feel like they could do so much more for the fusion with Indian food - I love the paneer dishes, masala fries, and naan incorporated into dishes, but the breadth of indian food could really improve the unique value of Mama Tigre. For instance, papad chips? A dip trio (Mexican style with guac and queso) but then also samosas with green and tamarind chutneys? Dal and Rice dishes that could be Mexican-ified? There's such a diversity of indian food out there (that's barely touched by their current menu), and this restaurant could just be SIGNIFICANTLY EVEN BETTER than it already is (in my opinion!). But definitely worth a visit regardless!

Delicious, very popular, so much fun! Will be back!
This is a great spot in northern Virginia, every dish has so much flavor levels. The butter chicken is really great. The jalapeño poppers are great. The tikka chicken tacos were good. Definitely will comeBack here.
This place was super good. We really liked the food. We had many of the Indian fusion dishes, and some more classical Mexican. Everything was amazing, and cooked perfectly. The sauces and salsas were great. Highly recommend!
