It was delicious, the host and server were friendly, timely, and extremely helpful. I will definitely be back again.

Off season for waterfront activity and no view inside… the place looks like the owners are absent and just milking this old place. It’s tired and most of the local shop keepers recommend other places in the area… and they are correct.

Stopped in for appetizers and stumbled into karaoke. Had the charcuterie board and the staff did a wonderful job of taking care of us.

We went for Valentine’s Day and it was a remarkable disappointment considering the various previous good experiences we’ve had here. The food was truly middling. Not worth $145 at all. They forgot to put dressing on the salad and served me uncooked potatoes. The steak was something I could have gotten at a cheap diner. Gross.
Additionally, I’d called ahead and was told that they’d have a band at 8pm. The band didn’t show up until 9:15, at the end of our meal. Again, deeply disappointing.
Finally, they added a 20% gratuity to the bill without announcing in advance that they planned to do so. It was not on the menu and it was not communicated when I reserved or over the phone. This is a disgusting and dishonest business practice. I would have tipped regardless because the waiter did his best, but the dishonesty here soured an already underwhelming evening.
I’m not planning to come back to Madigans and would instead recommend literally any of the other similarly priced and orders of magnitude better restaurants in Occoquan.

I did not have an enjoyable experience eating at this restaurant, unfortunately. To begin with, I was charged $7 for the Caesar salad instead of $5, which ended up being drenched in the dressing and very salty. I let that go hoping the Cajun chicken pasta dish would be better. It was plentiful yet the chicken must not have been cooked properly, or the sauce, as I felt unwell right after eating it. I only eat a small portion of it. My server, Patrick, was not particularly friendly and literally mumbled when asked about the salad up charge and could not provide me with a clear explanation. On top of that, there is an additional fee when using your credit card which I was not notified of beforehand, nor did I see it on the menu, or displayed anywhere. I do not recommend eating here, nor will I be returning.

If you love having a peaceful meal with local music, this place is for you. They have limited outdoor seating, plan ahead. Recommended.

I would have preferred to seat on the deck, but members of my party chose inside. It seemed to take long to get our food. Nautical gnocchi was delicious.

The outside dining is very scenic, however the food is forgettable. The crab cakes were tasty however. Our server was friendly and provided good service. I’d probably stick to the crab cakes and typical bar food items.

Even on a slightly chilly rainy day, we sat on the patio and was very comfortable.
