This is a neat little restaurant with an attached general store. I ordered the bison “French dip” and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered the bison rib eye and thought it was ok.
Sunday we took the short drive over Peter’s Mountain into Virginia for supper at the Swinging Bridge in Paint Bank.
Old-school place — Fiesta Ware on the tables, fried chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and hot peach cobbler.
Everything was good, but what really stood out was the service.
Our server was young, friendly, and completely on point. We never said a word, but she noticed something on our plates and quietly mentioned it to the kitchen. When she brought dessert...
We ate bison burgers on the screened-in porch and enjoyed perusing the gift shop. It was well worth the drive.
