We were very nervous that our toddler was going to break something. But we came here at the recommendation of my nurse. The service was great and we got to try new teas. The atmosphere was very lively, there was a reunion that day. I would go back easily.

My friend and I met there in hopes of having a nice fun lunch with our new babies. When walking in the restaurant we were asked if we had a reservation and we stated we did not, the owner said that was fine but we would have to wait for a bit. We were totally okay with waiting, upon trying to get into the door with our strollers we were rushed she scolded us and said the longer we take the longer the restaurant will take to warm up..okay I get it cool. When sitting down she constantly kept telling us it would be a bit and we reassured her it was okay and not a problem at all. She then stated “I don’t know what you want there’s nothing I can do right now”. All the while my friend and I were sitting patiently catching up on life and really not at all worried about time ! She then told my friend that her infant was in the path way and she may spill hot tea on her so to be careful!!! Mind you she TOLD us where to put the babies and even sat the High chairs where she wanted them to be. We left after being sat for MAYBE 10 mins

I absolutely love this quaint tea shop in Downtown Petersburg. I've had two events here and both were amazing! I love that there's so many options for the different Teas you can try and the finger foods are all tasty and well made! The staff are easy going, and lots of fun to chat with while they serve you. Dress up or go casual, either way you will fit in just fine. Parking spaces on the street can be tough to find, but enjoying Afternoon Tea amongst an eclectic sworray of tea sets, lace and antique decor is worth the hassle. I plan on returning again and again. Anyone that decides to visit Blue Willow Tea Room is in for a marvelous treat!Parking: Parking spaces on the street can be tough to find, but enjoying Afternoon Tea amongst an eclectic sworray of tea sets, lace and antique decor is worth the hassle. Be mindful not to park in the parking lot alongside the building. That parking area is for private use only and you will be towed. You may get lucky and grab a space right in front of Blue Willow.

The staff is lovely, went to the tea room with my sister for a quiet girls lunch. It was an experience, beautiful ambiance, we also learned a little something about tea room experience. The finger sandwiches and treats were delish. They looked so simple, but were very tasty. We had the special English tea and ginger teas. They bring out a pot for each with the tower of goodies. Awesome just everything you'd want from a tea room. If you're bring a group you may want to call and make a reservation, but it was just us two and they were able to seat us.

I was with a party of 4 for lunch at about 12:30pm on Wednesday November 15, 2023. The waitresses was wonderful very polite and accommodating. I asked if I could have the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and cup of soup, I asked if I could have the chicken salad with out the bread. The order was taken and a few minutes later the cook or somebody came out and very loudly stated that this is not the way they do things and I could order the trio of tuna, chicken ablnd ham salad. I stated that that was not what I wanted and she proceeded to loudly berate me to which I stated to put the chicken salad on white bread and I would just not eat the bread. I was embarrassed and mortified by this treatment. When the soup and sandwich came out I was happy to see that she had accommodated my request and remark to my friends how pleased I was until she loudly stated yes she had done it this time but would not do it again. My group was stunned at the behavior and treatment I received. I said to my group that I probably would not come back. Then a man came over and stated the meal looked ugly and the presentation was awful. I stated the presentation look good to me. I didn't know who he was, his personal presentation was messy and then he stated he was the owner. As he was leaving our table area he told us not to come back. My group continued our meal and were discussing among ourselves how rude and inappropriately we were treated when the cook or what ever she was told us we could leave and our bill would be covered. We did not leave finished our meal. The waitress was very upset with our treatment and embarrassed. We told it was not her fault, left her a good tip(I hope she kept all of it) and left. We will not be back. As one of my friends said, she had never been treated so rudely even in a fast food place. We were gobsmacked by the rudeness. This was not the first time we had eaten there but it will be the last.

Absolutely exquisite, the decor, the food, the English tea, an experience not a meal.

Blue Willow Tea Room is a gem in Petersburg! I hope that others will stop by and enjoy the delicious food and many teas they have to offer. They made our daughter's bridesmaids tea so very special with their attention to detail. The people who work there are just so very kind!

Very disappointed. I ordered the Luncheon Tea, which is supposed to be: tea, four sandwiches, fruit, and scones with jam & cream. I was served a pot of tea, four sandwiches, and a fruit skewer. I wasn't offended cream for the tea, but sugar was on the table. My bill was $19. It seemed expensive for a tiny amount of food. When I got home I looked at the menu and realized they never served me the scones and jam. I don't know if the waitress forgot half of the order or they were in a rush to get me out. I was the only person in the restaurant, so it's not like they were busy.

Called for an appointment and was told that they were booked. But unfortunately the one I spoke on the phone to didn't seem to friendly so I'm glad you have to call for an appointment first.

A beautiful setting with delicious food and a large selection of teas. The owners were great in serving our large group. Worth the 40 minute drive and I will definitely be back!
