I’ve visited Rinky Dink a few times over the years, but haven’t been in a long while. I called my order in and ordered two fish dinners, one with yams, macaroni & cheese, the other fish dinner had potato salad & cabbage. The lady that took my order over the phone was not pleasant on the phone or when I picked my food up, she looks and acts as if she doesn’t want to be there. When I got home and opened the containers the fish looked and tasted as if it was refried or the grease was old, the mac&cheese was spicy, the potato salad was spicy as well and did not taste good at all, the cabbage had no seasoning and looked as if it was old. I was going to take the food back but didn’t have the time, had to go to work. Not sure what is going on, because my past experiences have never been like this, if you all want to keep your customers happy and satisfied, and business flowing I suggest a new cook and someone who is more of a ppl person to take orders as well as greetings your customers. Sad to say I won’t be returning and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there, I spent $26 for two dinners that I did not enjoy, and threw away, should changes be made I may consider returning. It’s very distasteful to serve customers the food I received today!

My daughter and I were visiting from Florida. When I travel, I find local restaurants to eat. They have the BEST food! This is one of my favorites. I've traveled to 6 of the 7 continents. This restaurant is at the top! Delicious and mouth watering. Reasonably priced with a lot of food. I had 3 meals off one container. The ribs are mouth water delectable. If I come back this way again, I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this restaurant! ?

Food is ALWAYS delicious and Kenny doesn't break your pocket! Where can you get two big smothered porkchops, cabbage, mac and cheese, cornbread, and a drink for $13.00??!!!!! ...ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE! So get yourself to Petersburg and try his food. You won't be disappointed....And it's enough for two meals...

This place was referred to my daughter and I to dine at..NEVER AGAIN!The only good eats was the fish and the yams. The taste of dill (pickle) in the cabbage, the soggy mushy over cooked rice, the extremely hot and spicy pig feet, and the dark peppery potato salad were very disappointing.No thanks (we) will not be returning and/or will be recommending. If we didn't live over a hour away the food would have been returned, but...A total waste of$37.00

I can't speak to the service, my wife brings it home on fridays so neither of us have to cook but the taste? Bruh look!!If you don't like this food you need taste bud replacement therapy!!The taste of everything i've had is Great!!!If you know what soul food is supposed to taste like, you will not be disappointed!

The biggest beef i have is when i inquired about the green beans, I was told they were cooked with smoked turkey and not bacon/pork.However, wben i got my food, and had eaten a small portion of the cabbage, i questioned the taste and later found ithad bacon in it, which i accidentally ate a piece of it. I was shocked because i ordered a lot of veggies thinking they were safe to eat. Its serious business for some of us to not eat pork (medical/religious requirements). Not everyone can eat pork so it's important to know this before purchasing. The rest of the food was good, except the fried wings which tasted as if the oil was old. We all need to be more cognizant of what is in food before eating. I should have taken the time to ask about each vegetable and the restaurant should make it known to prevent reviews such as this, as well as the disappointment customers experience because of it, such as frustration, waste of money, and having to make alternative dinner plans. A little tweaking and consideration on everyone's part goes a long way. Rooting for you. Bless

They first time I went it was great food was good even tipped thats when the older lady was there during the day! At night the young guy seems like he just wants to be the boss & he treat you like you're slow but he can't he or don't want to help when it closing time. Then who ever made the food gave us rice the was gummy like madhed potatoes the chicken & fish was good but mac & cheese he some taste that wasn't nearly wat it used to be yesterday was my last time going. The food was ok. As other reviewers have mentioned, the lady taking orders isn't the most friendly person with customers. The lady who brought the food out from the kitchen was very pleasant. The fish was fried well but wasn't seasoned very well. They don't have hot sauce or vinegar. The macaroni & cheese has a unique taste with a little kick to it. I think the cabbage was a few days old. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. If I'm in the area, I may give them another try.
