The taste of dill (pickle) in the cabbage, the soggy mushy over cooked rice, the extremely hot and spicy pig feet, and the dark peppery potato salad were very disappointing.No thanks (we) will not be returning and/or will be recommending. If we didn't live over a hour away the food would have been returned, but...A total waste of$37.00

I can't speak to the service, my wife brings it home on fridays so neither of us have to cook but the taste? Bruh look!!If you don't like this food you need taste bud replacement therapy!!The taste of everything i've had is Great!!!If you know what soul food is supposed to taste like, you will not be disappointed!

. When i called to place an order, it felt weird because, the person that answered the phone didn't identify the restaurant or herself. I felt rushed and felt i wasnt supposed to ask questions. The biggest beef i have is when i inquired about the green beans, I was told they were cooked with smoked turkey and not bacon/pork.However, wben i got my food, and had eaten a small portion of the cabbage, i questioned the taste and later found ithad bacon in it, which i accidentally ate a piece of it. I was shocked because i ordered a lot of veggies thinking they were safe to eat. Its serious business for some of us to not eat pork (medical/religious requirements). Not everyone can eat pork so it's important to know this before purchasing. The rest of the food was good, except the fried wings which tasted as if the oil was old. We all need to be more cognizant of what is in food before eating. I should have taken the time to ask about each vegetable and the restaurant should make it known to prevent reviews such as this, as well as the disappointment customers experience because of it, such as frustration, waste of money, and having to make alternative dinner plans. A little tweaking and consideration on everyone's part goes a long way. Rooting for you. BlessDietary restrictions: N÷d to identify if food is cooked with pork.

We walked into this place because of the good reviews. It certainly doesn't look like much. The people were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Help us to figure out what to eat and the food was incredible. I don't know what else to say.

They first time I went it was great food was good even tipped thats when the older lady was there during the day! At night the young guy seems like he just wants to be the boss & he treat you like you're slow but he can't he or don't want to help when it closing time. Then who ever made the food gave us rice the was gummy like madhed potatoes the chicken & fish was good but mac & cheese he some taste that wasn't nearly wat it used to be yesterday was my last time going. The food was ok. As other reviewers have mentioned, the lady taking orders isn't the most friendly person with customers. The lady who brought the food out from the kitchen was very pleasant. The fish was fried well but wasn't seasoned very well. They don't have hot sauce or vinegar. The macaroni & cheese has a unique taste with a little kick to it. I think the cabbage was a few days old. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. If I'm in the area, I may give them another try.

I'm a regular and I've had quite a few of their dishes and they don't disappoint. My personal favorite is the rib dinner. I'd would recommend them to anyone. The food and service is very good.

No longer have desserts even though they still have them listed on their menu. The only drinks they have are Pepsi and water. They didn't have anything I came there to order. They won't let you use the bathroom. The cabbage was so spicy I couldn't eat it. The sides were larger than the meat portion, which was the roast chicken. Bad experience, I will never go back.
